i honestly think christian ponder is the 3rd best qb in the draft. that being said with Brown and Williams becoming free agents i think Ingram is an instant upgrade over both. if they went for ponder id at least see it in a trade back with a team looking for one of the DE/OLB prospects basically the pick makes sense just not at that spot. Pouncey to the Pats.....a very high possibility considering their OL is falling apart from what was the downright best a few yrs ago. and you nailed the Cam Jordan pick i think hes almost a lock to go to NE like the thinking in most of the picks. I just think seeing Brooks Reed in bold is too good to be true. ill prolly shit bricks if we land him. love the jenkins in the 3rd dunno if he'll be around when we pick 3rd rd though. i would like Ahmad Black in the 4th if at all possible but hes prolly off the board late 3rd early 4th. anyways good mock man
Belichick loves Florida players, even with Urban Meyer gone. I wouldn't be surprised if Belichick drafts Pouncey at #17 come late April. Pouncey is on the rise and one of the safest picks in Rd 1.
Yeah, I've had him pegged for Dallas for months. The only way I see him dropping is if Peterson falls to 9. Even then, he's likely in the top 12. I caught some flak for saying there was no way he hit 17, but I still say there's no way he hits 17.
He's complete. And Rob Ryan will be banging the table for him. Put him and Ware on the same side and a OL has problems.
I took Vincent Brown in round 6 for MIN in our draft we have here so would him being picked in the 4th round classify as to being a reach WW85? Also I spoke to some Lions fans who hate the thought of drafting an OT in round 1. They want a DE/DT type of player, and like Jordan unless Prince falls to them.
Brown had an outstanding Senior Bowl week. Brown by far, was the best WR at practice. Catching everything in stride, clean with his hands, no body catches. Doesn't have the size/speed ratio many teams are looking for, but I'll take his productivity. You got a steal in rd 6. I considered Brown in rd 4, but went with Pettis, it was a close call. What sold me on Pettis was his solid special team play, wasn't too sure of Brown's contributions on Teams. Brown is a solid # 3 WR. Any Lion fan that doesn't think they need O-Line help is delusional. Passing up Tyron Smith would be criminal. Stafford has already proven he's injury prone. Backus & Raiola are in their 12th years. Cherilus & Peterman are solid with Fox only for depth. Prince isn't going to fall, Smith could go the the Cowboys. If Smith is gone, I might look at DL.
Wow this would be a pretty good haul for the Jets. I also saw on Walterfootball.com (yes I know most people don't respect their mocks) our picks looked like this: 1st: Akeem Ayers (OLB) 3rd: Kendrick Ellis (NT) 4th: Chris Hairston (OT) 5th: Deunta Williams (S) 6th: Denarius Moore (WR) I think that's a good draft but I don't follow college players as closely as most of you. How does the Walter mock compare to WW85? Pros-cons?
Absolutely not a chance in hell Deunta Williams lasts til the 5th round even in this weak class of safeties. Walterfootball's mock is my favorite one to look at but some of their projections are just fuckin crazy. Don't have time to do it right now but in the next couple days I'll pick out some examples.
I like all of the players in Walter's mock. I agree with Doogie, Williams won't last to late rd 5. Also, Denarius Moore is rising fast, he could go in Rd 3/4.
I have a strange feeling billy bats over there in new england is going to draft are boy Reed before he get's to us. Bastard...
Maybe!! I think they will go another direction in Rd 1. They can address OLB in Rd 2 & 3 with all their picks. The top 5 technique guys in their wheelhouse are Watt and Jordan. IMO, Belichick is in love with Pouncey. I mentioned this earlier, New England could take Pouncey at #17, unless Watt or Jordan fall into their lap
