Hey guys, feeling sick as fuck ATM so I jus washed done some PM meds with nyquil. It the bucs comp pick comes up and I'm not online, someone grab them a warm body of a linbacker or OL depth. Thanks.
Quick note, I think I can make my other picks today, if not I will PM a bunch of people my draft board around lunch time today
I didn't have time to expand on it earlier, but wherever Zack Pianalto goes, he's got a chance to be the steal ofthe draft. He is without question the 2nd most talented Tight End in the class, behind only Kyle Rudolph. He is a machine, a great receiver (who was really hitting stride this year especially), and a talented blocker. If he heals up fine he'll be a serious player in the NFL. No injury and the kid is a 2nd/early 3rd rounder.
Maehl should be great in ATL, he is a great over the middle WR and the future slot man for the Falcons. A WR core of Roddy White, Randall Cobb, Micheal Jenkins, Harry Douglas, and Jeff Maehl is slobber worthy. Matty Ice should be pleased. Also went with Anthony Gaitor , not just because of his awesome name but his potential in this league. He's got a small frame but has good height and can keep up with almost any WR, plays great zone D, and can make tackles in the backfield ( had 13 TFL in 2 years). Given some development he could be a solid #4 on the Falcons.
I just looked over all the picks for each team. I gotta say the selections of what types of player went to which team seems pretty on par for what may happen in real life. Everyone did a hell of a job.
Anyone can pick for MB, he's out all day. I'll do it if no one else does. And my Packers draft is done, I'm pretty satisfied. Rd 1 - Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pitt Rd 2 - Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy Rd 3 - Chimdi Chekwa, CB, Ohio State Rd 4 - Pernell McPhee, DL, Miss St Rd 4 - Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Oregon St Rd 5 - Steve Schilling, OG, Michigan Rd 6 - Akeem Dent, ILB, Georgia Rd 7 - DeAndre Brown, WR, Sou. Miss Rd 7 - Gabe Miller, DE/OLB, Oregon State With no trades, I had to jump on a passrusher fast, and I'm glad I did by the looks of who was left late 2nd. Gabe Miller was also who I was talking about a week or so ago, very interesting OLB prospect...
You can make it MG...just to keep the draft pace going. Maybe we can finish the draft in less than a week.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, 624 Rd 1 - Anthony Castonzo, OT, BC Rd 2 - Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami Rd 3 - Dontay Moch, OLB, Nevada Rd 4 - Sione Fua, DT, Stanford Rd 5 - Roy Helu, RB, Nebraska Rd 6 - Jake Kirkpatrick, C, TCU Rd 6 - Josh Bynes, LB, Auburn Rd 7 - Scott Tolzien, QB, Wisconsin Chiefs draft done, I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
Minnesota is OTC, don't know who to PM cause there is no name next to them on the GM assignments! Is anyone just gonna make the pick?
I can give them the guy who I feel should be a target for the Jets in round 6 possibly.... Surprised he hasn't gone off the board.
I know Alex Henery isn't necessarily a huge need(Though I bet he punts better than Kluwe) but if given a chance, he would be awesome in the Metrodome and could be the future successor to Longwell. At worst he can be training camp material though I think he could make it in the NFL. He can kick and punt...he's a weapon and I would like him as a Jet possibly in the late rounds. I can see Westoff AND Callahan begging Mr. T on draft day to take him to replace Folk. He made a 57 yder in college vs Colorado. Besides we need a kicker to go in the draft sometime...
No problem! Carter showed great quickness the week of the E-W Shrine game, unblockable at times. He doesn't have the collegiate resume' to be picked higher, but he's a very interest prospect...
