Thanks for the replies. I think it's a testament to my point that one person said Dowling, one said Brown, and one said House. I'm happy with Dowling, I know he had an up-and-down year and has the injury but the Texans need safety help too (I would have picked Moore had he not gone right before me), so if that's where he's projected, he fits well there too.
Burton is the guy I have over Brown, I think he possesses better ball skills and could contribute at an earlier time.
Very true, although alot of teams are conservative a few teams like the Raiders, Cowboys, or Jags could jump all over and take a reach on House in this draft and really hope for a high ceiling. Which could very well be possible. I myself like the more conservative picks.
FWIW, MR E is OTC. I don't think any of us thought the draft would be moving this fast, especially the last 20 picks. MR E's PMs stated he should be back in town late afternoon Sunday. I don't have anymore players from his board. But I do know the key position he wants for the 49ers. Let's wait it out and see if he shows, if not, I will make the pick around 11 P.M. BTW, I will be at work tomorrow and won't be back till 2 P.M. (Unless I'm delayed) If you need to forward Boards...I need volunteers from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. If you forward your board to multiple GMs, please put me in your forward. You can PM up to 5 posters (GMs) in the same PM.
To be honest I lucked out with two teams, I didnt even have ONE but some GMs backed out and WW wanted me back in. Miami was available but Sir scooped him up quick.
The Broncos should be sending me a paycheck at this point. My postseason #1 player in Fairley and my preseason #1 player in Williams are both in the fold.
The only thing I dont like about Burton is his struggles with WR's bigger then him, he just gets dominated. But overall I could see how you like Brown over him. I like Browns potential more though but Burton will contribute right away.
This I do agree with because I saw Mike Floyd really tear him up in the UTAH/ND game this year... But I think with the frontline that the Lions would have moving forward, the corners could really benefit and take advantage of the pressure on the QB and it could play into what Burton likes to do.
Thanks 624 for making my picks. Cardinals o-line is a big weakness and was happy that Brewer was still around when my pick came up. Carter adds to the revamped D that I'm building for the Browns.
Brewer is one of my favorite OTs in this draft. Carter was a steal, no injury, and he's a mid/late 1st rd pick.
I usually wake up 10ish but I am available during that time. I can wake up an hour earlier if it means the draft moves quicker.
