I think the age thing is overblown, it's not like he's a RB or WR. At worst, he fulfills his rookie contract years at a high level, or he could be another Kevin Mawae...

Pace has been good thus far of the draft..............

Still one big name is awaiting to be called, kind of like how it is every year. Can imagine ESPN doing a few segments about the man like how they did it with McCoy last year. 1-2 teams who've gambled thus far might get a huge steal in round 3.....

Agreed, He should be a good one, but guard is not a game changing position and has a lower over all value. Add that to age and I can see him slipping a bit. He could very well still have a good 6 to 10 year run.

I cannot believe that Mason Foster fell to the Saints, he is a monster

I kind of wanted to give the Seahawks a corner but Young seemed like a good value at that point

I think he'll most likely end up on a Playoff-caliber team as a "last piece" type thing, the Patsies are eying him pretty hard...

Damn that was a rough pick, wanted to go Safety or Guard but I think Cobb really helps there offense. They need a "do everything" kind of player and Cobb is extremely versatile, fast, and productive and could become a WAY better option then Micheal Jenkins.

You can never go wrong with a 4x All Conference selection, that's a model of consistency if I've ever seen one.

    A very Patriot pick...

Rodney Hudson was a good value for the Pats aging O-line.

Glad to see Carter was still available....Weddle is a possible UFA, and drafting a player like Q.Carter gives AJ Smith the leverage in those negotiations with Weddle's agent.

Point of interest....this is the pick the Jets surrendered for Cromartie.

I just want to say, just about everyone is doing great.

The mock is moving along real well and very competitive.

I wish the Jets had a second rd pick, tons of good players.

You seee why I've been an advocate of trading back into Rd 2.

Went WR here, with Driver getting up there and James Jones likely leaving via FA, I saw the new JJ as a good fit for the Pack.

Plus, the Packers need a Returner, so 2 birds, 1 stone...

interesting pick...The Packers are loaded at WR. Even if they lose JJ...they still have Jennings and Jordy Nelson with Jermichael Finley (yes, i know he's a TE, but he's still a Receiving threat) coming back.

I'm not knocking the selection...but I think the Packers could've picked up a WR/KR in the later rounds, imo.

The JJ pick is interesting. I had trouble picking between him and Cobb for the Falcons. I agree that I'm not sure they need a WR this early but to be honest Rodgers can't have too many targets and JJ could benefit extremely with a QB who loves speedy WRs and a team that runs plenty 4 WR sets.

and there goes Locker, damn. I thought I (Miami) was in the clear once Seattle passed on him. I don't care what anyone says about him, great value there Magilla.

Well, the Packer just won the SB, there will be some luxury picks.

JJ is a WR first and foremost, a dynamic addition to the offense that isn't overly present. His ability to return punts/kicks is a bonus, but he is definitely not a returner with WR value.

agreed...excellent value pick for the Panthers.

I still remember when Locker was rated higher than Sam Bradford.

You couple this pick with last year's Panthers draft...and you have a total of 4 QBs the Panthers have drafted in the last 2 drafts....Pike, Clausen, Armanti Edwards, and now Locker.

Thanks, I couldn't let him fall any farther, even with the likely support of Clausen going into the season.

Reminded me of Colt McCoy and the Browns...

    You evil, evil man MG

Jimmy Clausen and Jake Locker fighting for a starting spot. How can you do that to me :(

But its great value, esp in round 3. Steal.
