love the A.Smith pick, Cato...but only if the Vikes land a QB in the Free Agency (C.Palmer or Bulger)...or if they find some QB gold in a later round.

    their pivot situation is awful.

The Vikes need help all over that defense. CBs are old(and bad), DLine is old, LBs are old or injured. Smith was BPA on my board. There are no QBs remaining that I would take in the first round.

Edited, please don't mention any players that haven't been drafted yet.

For a bit I thought Quinn might fall to the Rams, but then both him and Smith come off the board. I do not envy Bill Devaney.

For the best probably, the farther you go, the harder it is to find good pics...

St Louis is one team that could benefit trading up.

I think I would have swapped the last too picks, the Vikings need more of run stuffer than they do another pass rusher

Could have gone elsewhere with DET but boy....adding Cam Jordan to KVB and SUH will give the Opposing O-Lines absolute nightmares. Schwartz is going to love him....Lions have brought him in quite a bit and if Prince doesn't fall, he could be the man.

You can never have enough pass rushers, and Smith's aggression is just too good to pass up. He won't be a force in the run game but he'll want to hurt some RBs.

I was contemplating but not in love with any OT to go top 15 in this draft.

Liuget should start right away for St. Louis. Spags scheme relies on pressure from the front 4 and with no defensive end a good value at that spot I think he's the best pick. Not a sexy home run pick, but he should at a minimum be a solid player.

Backus is still laughing all the way to the bank with that $40 million.

"He gives up an average of 8 sacks a year, but it could be worse, it could be 10."

Carey moves inside to guard after his up and down year and that knee injury.

Dolphins need O-line help bad, wasn't expecting Smith to last that long, but was going O-line all the way with that pick.

Ty Smith was the other guy I was considering for DET....guessing the Carey in MIA days are over and done with.

And besides me botching up things by taking a sad 1:30 limit, everybody has killed it with the selections. Good stuff fellas. Might get to round 2 by tonight at this rate.

Edit MG.....Edit before you get in trouble!

(I do agree with that sentiment though haha. That seems like the consensus Phins pick.)
