Doesn't mean much but I wasn't expecting Gabbert to score 42... good for him...

Matt Leinart scored a 35 on the Wonderlic.

    Ben Roethlisberger scored a 25.

    Who's the better quarterback?

This test means nothing to me.

Pennington got a 25, and he's one of the smartest QBs ever to play the game

i don't understand how this test is relevant. I mean if they tweaked the wonderlic to be regarding their football knowledge, then it would be valid, but 80% of these guys wont be getting a degree, and are dumber than a box of rocks, which is all this test proves...

Wonderlic doesn't measure intelligence, rather a player's aptitude for processing information and problem solving.

This is almost as bad as the time you compared him to Brad Smith.

If anything Brad Smith will have a bigger impact on his respective team than Cam Newton. Newton will make one read and try to run. Every time.

Brad Smith was a beast as a rookie...oh wait, he had ten total touches.

It's funny that you assume he won't be able to evolve into an even better passer.

I remember you admitting that you only watched the kid play once. ...I think it's safe to say that everyone can throw your opinion on him out the fucking window.

Notable historic Wonderlic Test scores: Dan Marino and Jim Kelly – 15, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees – 28 and John Elway – 29.

This test doesnt mean much at all

I can give two shits. I'm telling you he will be a complete failure at quarterback. Maybe I'm wrong.. but there is nothing you can say at this point that proves my opinion otherwise. It doesn't take an encyclopedia of film to see that he's not a quarterback. He's a physical freak of nature who can throw a football somewhat decent.

If some team designs a system around him he might be able to succeed but if he's forced to read through his progressions he's fucked. His backfield scrambling will only work if he can find his receivers and make accurate throws downfield. I don't think he'll do that. Plus I question his work ethic.. comes off as a brotha lookin to get paid.

Newton was the second most efficient passer in the nation in 2010.

He threw 30 TDs and 7 INTs.

He has elite size and a big time arm.

There's more than enough reasons why he'll probably go #1 overall.

I'm not arguing against him going #1 overall. There are a million reasons why he can and probably will go #1 overall. I'm saying he will suck as a QB and the only way he'll stay afloat in the NFL is if he finds a niche or a system that suits his play.

That's the reason I like him so much. He's the type of player you can build an offense around.

You can't do that with a quarterback like Jimmy Clausen. He needs help to succeed. Newton can make plays on his own.

He's the perfect player for a struggling franchise like Carolina.
