If we didn't have either LT or McKnight I would be happy to bring Tiki in. I just don't see a place for him. I think Tiki will have an impact on whichever team he signs w/ as a part time back.
The only impact Tiki is gonna make for an NFL franchise this year is impregnating one of their media relations interns.
I wouldn't count him out and considering he'll be getting close to the league minimum w/ no guaranteed money he'd absolutely be worth a shot for certain teams and I guarantee you Tannenbaum and co. look into it. That doesn't mean they'll sign him or even want to but they will check it out just like they did Jamarcus Russell and others. It's what good organizations do.
I don't doubt he'll get a training camp invite, I just think he's gonna flame out. I think he's too old and been away from the game for too long. We'll see I guess.
yes the Jets make the "no rock unturned" phone call. But still, he's not going to do anything special this year.
His special days are over but I think on the right team he can be a nice complimentary player. he would have been perfect for our 2009 team as a pass catching option out of the backfield.
There is no reason whatsoever that I could see Tiki Barber having a place on this team. The mgmt staff has already said that LT will be back next year. So we've already got: LT, Greene, McKnight, and Conner. The role that Barber would play is already filled by LT, who is waaaay better.
Thank GOD there's a limit on the # of players you can have on your team otherwise there would be no players left for anyone else.
