Nothing would make me happier this offseason than keeping our offense intact.

    This.

I want Santonio and Braylon both re-signed. They both want to be re-signed.

Make it happen Money Mike Tannenbaum.

    I second the motion.

85 would be kick ass to have besides his ability (albeit dwindling) but his antics would make for additional Jets fodder.

That being said - I'd rather have Edwards and Holmes and another year together with Mark. The consistency will make this offense even more potent and better the chances of Mark's development as his potential to be a top 10 QB.

I still believe our top priority needs to be bringing back both Tone and Braylon. Its the most important thing we can do this offseason. Keeping things consistent for Mark will allow him to concentrate on his own development as opposed to learning a new offense, or adjusting to new receivers.

This is the big leap year for Mark and surrounding him with the best playmakers possible is only going to help us, we need to bring these guys back far more than we need Cromartie, and probably more than we need Harris.

Keeping Holmes and Edwards has to be the FO's top priority at this point.

On a side note, does anyone remember ANY FAs having the same excitement about re/signing with the Jets as Holmes and Edwars have shown? Between Sanchez's jubilation ove being picked by NY and these guys spending all this time talking about their desire to return, I almost forgot which team I toot for. I can't remember anyone being this excited to play in Green and White.

not sure if this link has been posted -- it includes the same quote from the Cimini interview and discusses Edwards' and Holmes' intentions to remain with the Jets.

"Jets free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards told reporters waiting outside a courtroom in Manhattan that he wants to stay with the Jets in 2011 on Monday afternoon."

Bringing both back would be amazing.

Braylon isnt going to see much more money anywhere else imo. The off field issues will scare away most teams. And if teams offer him say 500k less really think he will leave?

    He will be ours.

New facility, awesome coach, winning, good QB, great locker room, #1 city in the world, fun but work hard, etc.

Things that weren't usually associated with the Jets.

This is going to be a great decade and a half of Jets football.

Another year with these two playmakers and make that a full year hopefully...

That would be a great thing to see.

    Yawn.

Yes, we know both like it here. The only news is that it seems Tanny wants to try to keep both. Otherwise we won't know anything until one signs, and the other becomes chatty - wanting the same amount, more, blah blah blah.

Hope to keep both, but expect we'll end up with one.

I definitely expect Holmes to be re-signed. Not totally sure about Edwards, but it's a great sign he keeps saying he wants to be back. I mean after his run in Cleveland, you know he doesn't want to go back to a situation like that. He said he was depressed and thought about retirement there. That's bad.

If it's between signing with like the Panthers for a little extra or staying here, he's one guy I really think would take less to stay based on his past. Afterall, he has a "New York essence about him" as he said himself haha

Coles? After he was traded to Washington. And then Coles again? After he got cut by the Bengals. He REALLY wanted to play for the Jets, but only after he didn't want to, and as long as he got paid. It's a respect thing.

I want Holmes and Cro first, don't think we can sign Edwards. What are we gonna do if Cro is gone, have Wilson or Lowery as our starting CB/ Come on, now way
