I have no problem with bringing him back for minimum money and limited snaps. Despite his lacking pass rush he did have some good plays in the running game. But for the love of fuck I really hope Rex and Pettine don't ever ask him to cover on another play.
Agreed. Not to mention it would be nice to have a vet that could share some knowledge with the couple of pass rushers we end up drafting next year. Not to mention keeping JT makes BT more expendable imo
fuck him. he was a douche then, he sucked last year and he is a douche now. you guys would sell your soul to even have a chance at a championship. to say you would sign a guy that is as big of a cunt as jason taylor with no guarantee to win anything... ugh it makes me sick. he brings us nothing and is completely useless let him rot elsewhere.
for the minimum as a veteran presence and a backup why not in a season where fa is gonna be really screwed up and there may not be training camp why not just role with a guy who knows the system and wants to be here
I'll take him back for the vet's minimum. Clearly he can still play a bit. Crushing Brady and causing a safety are two of the plays that come to mind. If we don't want him back, I won't lose sleep though. He's still a fag.
I wouldn't mind bringing him back for inequality more year. But it would depend on who we have here though.
Vet minumum would be fine. I think he will get that to. Having him as a backup isnt that bad. Alot better than having someone like Gholston sitting around. Plus his presence is felt.
He's not my first choice, but if we can't get pass rushing help elsewhere, I'm not opposed to bringing back Taylor.
He produced a key safety for us, and had other clutch sacks. Not sure why many of you are claiming he was ineffective.
I'd take him back, he had some big plays for us. He had the sack on Brady that sealed the 1st win for us. He had a huge play on McCoy in the Browns game and he got the safety in the Steelers game. His stats weren't mind blowing but he wasn't as bad as people want to say he was either.
There's a pretty good chance he's more valuable than the 53rd guy/last guy in the front 7 rotation. That will depend on how good an offseason/draft we have. If that happens, there's no reason to not have him back, except for hatred. It's amazing how Rex Ryan and this team can change a man's perspective so much in a single season.
It'd only make sense to bring him back if it was for the vet min and BT has been cut. Hopefully, there's someone new starting opposite Pace with a draftee and one of BT/JT as the backups.
+1....for veteran min he's still a steal. Love him or hate him, he does have a lot of experience he can offer the younger guys.
