Hartsock could always be counted on to have a penalty at the wrong time - he was pretty consistant at doing that. Nobody the Jets can't live without obviously.

Matt Mulligan will not be stopped!

In all seriousness, I hope this is an indicatiom of what the CS thinks of Jeff Cumberland. If he has picked up his blocking game then he could prove to be an intersting addition on 2-TE and goal line formations.

Happy for Mulligan... hopefully he'll get his shot to be our blocking TE... and I guess this shows the CS has confidence in Cumberland too...

But we could have traded down from the first round for Hartsock! /the GM

That said, no reason to pay him the money we were going to this (1.5 mill maybe?) for an inconsistent one-dimensional TE who is a penalty machine. Great blocker, but when he screws up, his mistakes seem to be magnified somehow. He gets a hold call on the exact play where we break a run for a 30 yard score, or a false start in the red zone leads to a missed FG.

Like others said, hopefully Mulligan has proven his worth as our future blocking TE, and also that Jeff Cumberland has developed over the year to turn into DK light. If he becomes a poor man's DK, can you imagine defensive coaching staffs trying to cover out of the 2 TE set, while trying to stop the run?

Edwards and Holmes outside, with DK and Cumberland at TE, with LT/Greene in the backfield? Haha that would be amazing, we can run it down your throat and yet throw it around the yard without any problems. Sounds like a great bonus set to have. Provided of course that Cumberland has improved his blocking enough to be even remotely serviceable in the run game...

In other Hartsock news, brother Noah will be seeing a bigger role on the BYU basketball team.

I was more disappointed when we released James Dearth.

    So true:lol:

It's almost a shame he isn't around anymore. we could use a few more ridiculous draft day trade scenarios and belief like the fact Rashad Jennings will be the best RB in his class or whatever it was he said...
