I hope Woody gets another chance, he's worked hard to rehab and is definitely ready to be a Jet next season. Remember, he was thinking retirement last offseason and only would come back for Rex. I think he can still bring it, at least until a potential draft pick is ready to start at NT.

No human being on this planet, even the most die hard Jet fan, should feel bad for Vernon ($625,000 a tackle) Gholston, who made more money being an asbolute terrible excuse of a football player, than most of us will combined in our lifetimes.

My cousin is a private town car chauffeur for SNY and regularly drives jenks and woody to and from the studio. He says both are really cool guys. I remember him telling me how Woody wants to go into broadcasting and be a mainstay on sny, so I can see woody retiring. As for Jenks, sometime after he got injured, my cousin picked him up and they got to talking and Jenks pretty much said he got one more go in him and he feels he can get a ring with jets. Also, loves playing for rex. On a sidenote, kerry rhodes is a dick and would only speak to my cousin via his manager so if he wanted to go somewhere, he'd whisper it to his manager to then relay it to my cousin

Any chance Jenks takes the veterans minimum? Having him and Jason Taylor return at reduced salary might have upside at low cost for the lack of DL and OLB depth..

Gotta say I really dont think JT is worth the roster spot if he wanted to come back at Vets minimum.

Id rather take a shot on a young UDFA or any cheap FA on the market.

Someone who can at least contribute on special teams.

No big deal about the Bust and Taylor. Sounds like Wood and Jenk could be back if they take huge paycuts and there is room for them.

if the 'other' chat sites are anything like the tgg, there has to be at least 100 post like:

jets cut gholston, should we sign him???? he's a beast.

I don't really understand cutting Gholston and then potentially resigning to a lesser deal. He's going to get vet minimum, which is gonna be around $325k, meaning we net a savings of what? $100k maybe?

I get it, we got zero production from him, but for the supposed savings, it dosen't seem worth it.

Now, if we hire him as our new Gym manager...

Exactly. I think Gholston is a goner, no matter what. They aren't saving that much at all.. so it's clear they just have no use for him.

I personally think the thought of resigning some of the cut players was supposed to be more about Big Jenks than any of those guys.

I think he just kept it vague because thats what these guys do. Odds of us resigning Gholston have to be incredibly incredibly slim, especially after benching him in the post season

I normally put no credence on internet stories. Oddly though, this one is completely plausible.
