both sides are stupid the owners shouldnt have signed a deal 5 yrs ago that was clearly one sided and likewise the PA is being stupid because they will eventually have to cave because the owners will just wait them out into the season best case scenario would be for congress to step in and just set up arbitration but thats not gonna happen until real games start being missed at which point itll be too late
Agreed. Fans are the ones who have all the power anyway. If Fans hit the owners with a big fuck you they would lose Billions of dollars.
Just read they are in their 2nd straight day of talks with the non-binding mediator. Hopefully this is a good sign.
At least they're turning up. This whole topic is barely being talked about on this site but it's all anyone is talking about everywhere else. Strange.
4 straight days and some praise to George Cohen. I'm gunna be optimistic on this one and say the deal is done before the draft.
This doesn't sound good. espn.com... But in a text to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, one of the agents in the room, who wished to remain anonymous, wasn't optimistic about the progress of the labor talks. "Not close on one single issue," the text said. "This WILL go into september." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6159004
The Jets have the coach I wanted and the QB I wanted. They win and talk shit and have done everything I hoped for this franchise and the culture. Its made me a pretty optimistic football fan nowadays. If you want me to be pessimistic, ask me about this years QB class. I fucking hate all of them.
