When the pick was made, how many people really absolutely hated it? We all were worried he might bust but only a few people correctly stated it was an absolute disaster of a pick. You can even see that most people supported that pick moreso than the ones I mentioned.

Yea I remember at that time I wanted to trade down so bad because I didn't think anyone outside of the top 5 warranted that high of a pick. I'd say most Jet fans didn't want Gholston, but when it came time to pick he was the highest rated player on the board I believe, so most fans kind of lived with it. Weren't ecstatic nor pissed.

yep. At the time, it was the right pick. He was #6 consensus.

But holy shit no one expected a total vagina to walk around.

Yeah man, he was 'the guy' at that pick. I hoped he would be no worse than serviceable/decent - sadly, he would've been a waste in the 6th round.

    What a colossal cluster-fuck of a player...

Its funny reading this how people didn't want to trade up for Sanchez because we "needed" to draft a wr and "needed" to extend Leon and Thomas Jones. Funny how things work out seeing as we drafted Shonn and traded for two pretty good wide receivers. I think we should all just trust Mr. T and Rex more.

Never listen to the mass dopes who jump on here with their shitty opinions.

Leon washington did nothing this season. Alvin Keels killed his payday. He should fire his agent.

I thank you for inviting me in:) Since there isn't much to talk about I'll chime in.

All Leon did was win a game for the Seahawks, w/o that win they don't make the playoffs and on't win one of the greatest games in their history over the Saints.

Just to be clear, I was never against moving Leon(though I wanted him back) but I thought we gave him away for nothing. That was my biggest problem.

By the way, Keels didn't cost leon- the 2 sides were negotiating, he didn't have his crytsal ball to know he'd have a career altering injury months later. The agents job is to get as much as possible and he was doing his job. I guess every player should just take the first offer they get from the teams?

I do agree w/ Mick. In general stay away from the mass opinions, it's generally the guys that go the other way that have a better understanding of what is going in.

No he didn't, Leon ultimately has control and if he feels a deal is fair he needs to step in and let his agent know that. What happened here was bad luck w/ his broken leg. He would have gotten a big pay day if he was healthy

They took a chance on the 6M deal. But Leon was never going to see 6M from any team because his market value didn't dictate 6M. He wasn't that type of RB. Keels did a terrible job understanding the market value for his client.

I don't want to diminish Leon's 2 KRs in that game, but they did come against the Chargers joke of a ST unit that week.

I don't recall the specifics but it's never about salary, the more important # is always the guaranteed #. I don't recall what they were asking and what the Jets gave him but he had a chance to get more than what the Jets offered if he stayed healthy but unfortunately he did not.

Regardless of who the TDs were against, SD allowed 3 KR TDs for the year and 2 came in the same game against Leon and that was the difference btw winning that div and missing the playoffs so he made an impact. Not quite the impact that he would have if he was 100% but he did make an impact.

Sanchez looks pretty damn awesome tossing up bombs to WRs who get absurd separation because college DBs are atrocious.

Yeah, I bet that he doesn't have any success in the NFL when he has to play real DB's.
