That stuff is way overrated. We lost to the Dolphins this year, the Falcons and Jags and Dolphins last year, etc etc.
When we start getting home playoff games and Indy or SD has to come to us is where it really pays off.
SOB's should put curtains on it now for us, what douche bags. I hope it snows 3 feet Sunday morning and then turns to rain and then freezes and no one can go. F U jack asses. I bet they add bathrooms and heaters by then also. Now we know the plan, they have 3 years to fix the place up for the big day. To hell with the Jet and Giant fans, we have our big party to get ready for
Really? Those games had nothing to do with the Jets sucking ass did it? I'll agree with Madbacker Prime, home field if and when it ever happens.
great stadium just as it is period as for my newbie status, jackass I went to two Titan games at the Polo Grounds, the first ever NYJ game at the Polo Grounds, the first NYJ game at Shea and have been a STH since 1973. Would have been earlier but I had this problem called the Vietnam War that kept me from going to football games in the late 60's I'll match my Jet fan credentials with yours, anyday, bandwagon clown
i guess to each his own... how about the way that they treated the fans? the lies the deceit the double talk out of both sides of their mouth? were you a big fan of that too?
First off, there are a million things wrong w/ that Stadium. I do agree it is fine in the LL and mezz but you still have the mess to get out of that Stadium in the mezz unlike in the old place w/ the direct escalators and spirals. Philly, Bal, Foxboro, Chi, Seattle, Cinc, Pitt, Wash, Den, GB, Buf and Cle would not be getting a SB every 4-5 years if they ahd a roof and they wouldn't be getting other huge events like the FF. I'm fine w/o a roof but they would have made alot more money in that building hostong other big events had they put a roof on it and the least the could have done was cover concourses, heated them for the fans at the game. That wouldn't affect games but would make the experience more comfortable for the fans.
Actually the top 60% of the Stadium is worthless garbage and I will never spend a dime again to sit up there. If you're in the lower level, suites, or first few mezz rows then it's pretty nice. It's all a matter of what you can afford
BTW, the SG3 guy is awfully talkative on an other Jets forum. http://www.jetsinsider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194370&page=1120
Childsplay. While he was stationed in a secure rear area getting drunk and banging whores on TuDo Street in downtown Saigon every night, probably complaining about having only two ice cubes in his mixed drinks, I was out in the bush the entire year as a Combat Advisor to the South Vietnamese ARVNs dreaming about all the ice cubes they were throwing away after he finished his drinks. That's my interpeter, Binh, in the middle. I was considerably slimmer in those days for lack of clean water and good meals, but I could still kick a little ass even at my undernourished weight. 1968-1969 cost us half the lives you see on the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial on Constitution Ave in Washington, DC... 24,000 (out of 58,000) lost their lives in those two years alone, so it was no picnic to be there at that time. So excuse me if I don't cotton to somebody claiming rank on me because he wasn't able to go to games "because of something called the Vietnam War." I don't need lectures on that particular subject - not in this lifetime. He ain't the only one who wanted to get back and sit in a stadium and watch the Jets play some football. And pardon my ass for complaining about getting fucked all these months by Woody Johnson. I would have loved to have that little pussy on my advisory team and watch him swat mosquitoes and lose weight with 4 hours sleep every night. The little bastard fucked with the wrong guy when he fucked with me. Section 227, Row 5 (before my eviction)
It's all been well documented on this thread---simply amazing that people still try to argue how wonderful that the place is and how nice the Jets were in telling UNTRUTHS to us ! I have many friends who have PSL's and I myself have been to the lower level areas and they are just fine if you want to or have the money to commit long term---that said anyone who has actually been to the place or dealt with the Jets and their Reps will honestly tell you what a fiasco the past year / last summer was! That is why even though the place is SO WONDERFUL I am ONE AND DONE! PS I emailed the Jets after Chrisp put up his post and to no ones amazement I received NO REPLY.
Wow don't read on here for a week and what chaos. The biggest issue I have is how the Jets have had so many people argue with each other. "He's a cheap ass for taking upper deck seats." "He's a stupid fuck for buying a PSL and his wife is probably a whore." Everyone is ridiculous. This is the USA and you are entitled to spend what you want on tickets. Do I feel like we're getting fucked? Absolutely but you have 2 choices pay up and keep going or give up your seats and stay home. For me I'm 30 and have had the season tickets in my name since I was 11. Considering the memories I have of going with my dad and sister over the years I refuse to give up my seats. It's gotten expensive as hell but I still enjoy going and I don't like watching from home all that much. As for those of you who have enjoyed ripping on the reps I knew someone who worked as a rep. She was miserable and said that most of the reps are fresh out of college and trying to have something good to have on their resumse. Better to have New York Jets Sales Rep on your resumse than bartender at Friday's.
The thing that everyone has to understand is that buying a PSL is no big deal. You can buy one any time you want. Beginning in March, you'll have your choice of hundreds of them, as there's a lot of buyer's remorse out there. And they'll be available on the secondary market for decades. They will not dry up, believe me. And there will never be a shortage of seats in the stadium either, just as there will never be another "Wait List." People will be bailing this spring in droves. And what's so scary about that is, this is a winning season with a real shot at the SB! What's going to happen when we go 4-12? So nobody should dump on the old timers with seniority for first wanting and trying to get a decent seat in the Uppers without a PSL. I can go back any time and buy one... whenever I fel like it. And if all it takes is money, that makes it no big deal. I can buy a PSL seat on the 50 any time I want, guaranteed! So I don't look at STHers the same anymore, myself included. There used to be a stigma to it, "I'm a Jets season ticketholder!" It meant you had to wait a very long time to get them, so you must have been a Jets fan for a very long time. Now any Bandwagon Mousekateer named sG3 can buy his way in and repeatedly call others "asshole" who didn't, just because he thinks he's "smarter" for doing so. It's like the guy who is driving a leased Mercedes and paying out the ass every month for it. He pulls up next to a guy with an older car that's paid for, and he thinks to himself, "What an asshole." Little does he know the guy in the other car has already bought himself a home and is paying down the mortgage quite handsomely, while the guy in the Mercedes is still renting an apartment. Who's the asshole now? I've got plenty of money... more than I need probably. I've done real well for myself. But as I said early on in this thread, I've already put all my kids through college... priority #Uno. Now I'd rather put that PSL money towards my grandkids college educations. My goal is, when the time comes, to have them all graduate college with no student loans. So I'll go right on criticizing the Jets' front office and the new stadium, not because I can't afford it, it's because we never needed the fucking thing in the first place and the tactics they used to sell the place and the way it was designed and presented were all so unprofessional and half-assed, it makes me ashamed of even being associated with them.
