Erik Coleman is available

i cant wait til we cut vernon gholston, that leads to some other team cutting him, and somebody making a thread.

 

I still call Drew Coleman Erik, especially when he screws up. So no thanks, I don't need further confusion.

 

Siupeli Malamala should battle for the LG spot next year. Also, I think Curtis Conway is available as a poor man's Santonio Holmes.

And Dorian Boose can fix our problems in the pass rush.

 

I can only imagine how many of these threads we're going to see in the offseason.

What a disaster that was, maybe Parcells' worst move was drafting him and letting Hugh Douglas go.

For the life of me I'm having a hard time remembering who Erik Coleman is. I can remember all these other guys and not him.

 

His last year (or second to last year) he actually was really good for us. I seem to remember 100 (or over) tackles as a safety (though I could be wrong).

 

I just looked him up on the all-time roster--a safety, # 26. I'm still drawing a complete blank on him, can't remember one play he made.

 

I'd like him for the cheap!

 

Or going into '99 without a backup QB.

 

I saw a KC Chiefs board somewhere where they thought he may be a good prospect.

 

He did address it, signed Mirer late in camp, but it turned out to be too late to be ready for Week 1 and Mirer was no good. Lucas turned out to be perfectly capable and was on the team, the mistake was not using him a lot sooner.

 

Agreed on Lucas.

Chad Cascadden would really help fill the huge gap Vernon will surely leave.

Seriously though, Cascadden was awesome.

No way, if we're signing a safety it's gotta be John Lynch. You know, work the whole Herm angle. Wasn't that buffoon the godfather to Lynch's kid?
