    Appreciate the comments.

RaiderJoe and DWare loved Gholston...that says it all.

Yea, looking back at those posts is good for a laugh. The short live, much hated posting days of Dware are not missed, but good comedy.

I won't rub it in too much Baker:)!!

    Just playing!!

James L is turning out to be a very good LB in this league and Vernon....oh well!!

We all have hits and misses, it's too bad more people didn't take my reports on Gholston to heart. The guy hated playing football and had no heart at OSU. A few teammates mentioned that Vernon was a loner and had no passion.

The transition to OLB only compounded the disaster.

Man I failed so bad with Gholston....ugh. Everyone's allowed their mulligans!

Guy had or has the physical tools but when you have no heart or will, it means nothing.

James L I think benefitted with some size up front though with someone like Robins coming over from NYG to STL. Carricker did not get the job done at all so I think with the improvement at DT, It helped out the LB in the backfield.

    We all have our misses.

I was a HUGE Manny Lawson fan...a disappointment

    I still love Jimmy C......Cakes thinks he's a bust.

I thought Lawson would have been something but I guess much like McCargo, that when playing with a beast like Mario Williams, you can live off him and produce.

Oh well I can still say with my 1st team(CAR) in the mock draft, I got David Harris for them in round 2! I took Revis in a mock 1st round draft back in early 2007 too that caught a lot of flack from people.

Mamula makes Gholston look like a clown.

This ..... What an insult to Mamula. That guy actually played ok compared to Gholston.

I'm not sure Lawson is done. If he gets a change of scenery and quality coaching he could still become a good rush linebacker. I don't know how much heart and desire he has, though. That seems to be as big a problem as any that he has had thus far.

I was not a Clausen fan when he was in college. I don't think he'll be a good NFL QB, but it is too early to say he's a bust. He should get better, but I don't know how much better. I would wager that he will have a career like Tim Couch, Rick Mirer, and Joey Harrington.

If you two want a good laugh, try to find old threads where I was fighting with JetsLookingForDWare about Gholston and Manuel Ramirez.

    mamula actually got sacks.

gholston is arguably the worst bust in NFL history; & the worst player the Jets have ever drafted, which includes Blair Thomas.

    Where did you "read" that??

Ryan Leaf has to be the biggest bust in recent memory.

Let's think before we post....I don't like nonsense in the draft forum.

well QB's are held to higher standards, but the best play Gholston ever made was TFL against the Patriots I think.

I think the one contribution he has made over 3 years was the TD saving tackle of Chris Johnson last year...

Also I personally think with time to reflect Jamarcus Russel will go down on an equal playing field as Leaf.
