I'm sorry dude but the thread where he admitted that he has a pussy is top notch. And when I say top notch, I MEAN TOP NOTCH MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!!!!! Lol at KOZ' Midori Sours. Sorry KOZ.
Rex put too much faith in a defende that was shaky all year after they beat Manning and Brady, and the defense failed. It's that simple. Rex never thought his defense, one that matched up well with the Steelers offense, would get torched, and it did. And, after that happened, Schotty coached like Schotty and fucked the team over. It's quite simple. Add to that the fact that the refs refused to call penalties on the Steelers, and called several bad ones on the Jets, and you had a 5 point loss and a SB that does not feature the best team in football (both the Pats and Jets are better than the Steelers and Packers).
The defensive failures in the first half were unlike anything we've seen at any point from a Rex Ryan coached team. It was a crazy flukey occurrence. gtfoh with this bullshit about having too much faith in the defense.
when we held them to just 24 points at the half i though we had the game won. i really did. it's the 2nd half, the half where we shoulda scored 45 unanswered, that baffles me.
Really? The defense looked like shit at times all year. Remember the Houston game? Remember when Rex said the team needed to go back to basics? It wasn't a fluke. The defense was just not constantly great this year. Rex talked about being ranked 3rd, but this defense was never that great. And the team probably had a false sense of confidence because of the Indy and NE games.
Are you one of those fans who expects a shut out from the D every week or something? The D was 3rd in ypg and 11th in ppg. That half of missed tackles and blown coverages was a total abberation.
Since i've been watching the Jets, They only play one half of championship games... If only we can find a way to play the other half we could really find ourselves in one of these big games someday.
Unprepared or not, if you go into the 2nd half down 17-0, no big deal. You get the ball to start the second half and one good drive changes the entire game. That idiotic decision to pass on 3rd and 17, when there was no chance in hell of getting a first down was a major reason our team was watching the game today. Hopefully, Rex learned something from that.
I usually hate the play-calling and I'm not a big Schotty supporter but if we decide to run on 3rd and 17, then we have 75% of the fan base screaming asking why they hell we aren't trying to pick up the first down. Also Rex isn't the type of coach to give in and give back the ball. That's not his style, if we got to get a first down no matter if it's 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 17, he's gonna try and get it.
Anyone who would have complained about a run in that situation is a retard, so who cares what they would have said. There was no reason to try and pass there and it was probably the difference between seeing the Jets play yesterday and not.
Show me another example where they failed to tackle 13 times in a single half. No one said the defense was great.
