So what's the snowfall amounts for everyone. I live 45 miles from Atlanta and we only got a Favre's worth.

Snowmaggedon and the snowpacalypse of 2011 is upon us. Every one have enough milk and TP?

Wut? Oh...you were serious...honestly wut, Im having a couple problems.

    1. No way..this is one of those seasons. Expect at least 3 or 4 more storms that produce at least 6-8" AT LEAST.

    2. I cant think straight knowing are buddy, ABYZMUL, will be digging himself out of one of the great snow storms in San Antonio, TX history. Back and forth, to prayer service. Lets first see how he makes out and then move on to our next storm...Saturday...which has now shifted a bit colder and the metro area might get about 2-4 inches.

I love your name bud. Love it.

And the next real snow storm for our area is about a week away...give or take..and this one might be HUGE.

To me wut, going outside during a snowstorm...dead silence..white stuff coming down hard...loved it ever since I was a kid..and love it more now.

I hear you. Its a bitch in the end. This winter has been a real pain in the ass. Still love it though.

HA! Well, at least I got to see snow again. I'm good for another 10 years. The snow wasn't the deal, though, the drizzle that turned into a sheet of ice was kind of a problem for the dimwit emergency planners of this fair city, however. All highways within San Antonio were closed until noon today.

I almost threw my remote through the TV this morning when the dumb bitch from TXDOT was whining about how they had only prepared for 'dry snow', and NOT ICE. There was over 100 accidents reported in SA last night, and most of the cars just sat there all night because of the lack of towing resources, so even after the ice melted this morning, the highways stayed shut down due to too many abandoned vehicles on them.

I think Austin got a few inches, not so much ice but snow.

Great! Happy you got something abyz. Funny thing is when you live up here..a big storm is a big deal. But I have never been in an area that rarely gets anything..and how they react. I was listening to the Mayor of Houston who said they did not have any plows...or salt..but they put down a granular substance that gives cars traction.

Good stuff. Hey bud...happy you got something out of it!

For this area...Im sticking with the models that I reviewed along with some real nerdy nerd weather geeks...potentially huge snow storm next thursday and friday. One model has a record breaker...few others have major..and a few have it out to sea. We shall see.

Still keeping an eye on a huge storm for Thursday and Friday..but the reason Im posting now is for some really good news...wow...

The models ALL indicate that after this storm, around Valentines day, talk about a warm up...70 degrees all the way up to DC with incredible warming for the entire east coast.

Hiker down in Virginia? Almost 75. Abyzmul in San Antonio...over 80!

Does this Thursday storm rumor have legs?

I've heard people refer to it as Stormageddon up here but I haven't found many details about it.

    Thanks Jay.

4 main models all have it in various ways. The model of choice, ECM, Euro, just posted and has a major snow storm for Richmond VA all the way up to South Jersey. This model has a southeast bias and usually corrects itself further north about 3 days before the event...so I would say yes.

I would also say your area is fine line territory right now. If the models continue to trend further north..and they should, might get interesting for you also.

This storm has legs for many reasons mostly because you get all 3 jets involved. Arctic, Polar and Tropical. Where and if they phase is the question.

They do not need to all phase to create a huge storm...but if they do, watch out.

The Super Storm of 1993 had a triple phase. Its not likely..but several models have shown that.

    Thank you sir.

    Hoping for another big storm.

27 hours of plowing on Tuesday and Wednesday was great.

I love living on a mountain.

The town I work in is proper fucked though every year when the snow melts.

This year will be worse. All the drains are covered by 10-15 feet of packed snow and ice.

Tulsa got buried by the Monday night storm, and then it snowed 3 more inches yesterday. We were above freezing for a bit yesterday, but no significant melting.

So wait, this morning I heard NYC may not get any snow out of this storm Thursday. Are you saying it may actually be major?

What you heard this morning is correct as of today. ALL THE MODELS say out to sea now. Incredible. Its gone....goodbye.

Sorry for the misinfo on this one guys. It was there..and now its gone. The tremendous warm up is still on tap....but the storm never phases and passes well south and out to sea.

This would be the last shot for a snow storm for awhile...enjoy the heat next week!

This is a late edit because I was quoting myself..and proved that Im slightly retarded

Our plow guy this morning told us that a lot of the people he plows are screwed because they have no place to put any more snow and will have to hire someone with a loader to come remove some snow before the next storm.

Good thing I read that over before I posted... I originally had 'lot of the people he blows are screwed...."
