The Dark Knight posts here not Christian Bale dude.

NYJ2K10, why did you change your name to The Dark Knight? It truly was a bad decision.

I'm sorry, I just can't process two Dark Knight threads in two different forums, with the same posters working both. After a busy day, I need to simplify.

Considering we've all seen her tits in several other movies, I'm just not that excited about her in the Catwoman suit.

I'm not against Hathaway being in the movie, I just really don't like the Catwoman character.
He must have been wearing bad idea jeans.

I'm not sure if I support the name change.

I guess whatever makes you happy.

Deadline is reporting Gordon-Levitt is negotiating with Warner Brothers to reunite with director Christopher Nolan in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

It was just recently revealed actress Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and actor Tom Hardy as Bane.

Production for the film will begin this spring.

Hmmm, who could Joseph Gordon-Levitt play in the upcoming Batman film? My guess is The Riddler, but what do I know? One thing is for sure he is not going to play the Joker, Christopher Nolan has said that the character will not be returning.

Is Joseph Gordon-Levitt Negotiating To Play THE DARK KNIGHT RISES’ Hugo Strange??

Published on: Feb 01, 2011 10:44:42 PM CST

    I am – Hercules!!

Deadline Hollywood reports that another star of Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” is negotiating to join Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Since fellow “Inception” star Tom Hardy is set to play Bane, it makes some sense that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is perhaps being earmarked for the role of deranged Batman stalker/wannabe Hugo Strange, a character long rumored to be a part of Nolan’s third Batman film.

Gordon-Levitt does sort of resemble a darker version of fellow former child actor Christian Bale, does he not?

Since this is likely Nolan’s final look at the life of Bruce Wayne, the writer-director may feel compelled to load up an extra dose of scum and villainy?

Anne Hathaway was earlier announced as Catwoman’s alter ego, Selina Kyle.

Find Deadline’s exclusive on the matter here.

Tons of rumors going here...But I am happy we got JGL on board here. I have been vouching him to be cast as the new Riddler.

Hardy was being rumored to play Black mask and ended up as Bane. I wouldnt take the role JGL will play as Strange official yet.

    We shall see

When I first heard that Catwoman and Bane were in the movie, I was happy, but wondered how they could carry the film. If JGL plays the main villain (Strange or Riddler) it would be EPIC! Please be true.

Robin news (and I've been saying this for years!):

'The Dark Knight Rises' with Robin Williams?
Casting rumors keep trickling in for "The Dark Knight Rises," the upcoming third film in Christopher Nolan's Batman series. On Saturday, unconfirmed reports surfaced that Robin Williams may be the man for the role of Dr. Hugo Strange.

While no plot details have been officially released, many insiders have suggested that in the film, psychotic psychologist Dr. Strange will be tapped by the Gotham police forces to help track and capture Batman (Christian Bale).

Williams was up for roles in previous Batman films in the 1990s, but never accepted the offers. However, last summer he told reporters that he'd love to work in Nolan's Batman universe. "I would do Batman in a second," he said. "I'd play The Riddler in the next one, although it would be hard to top Heath Ledger as the villain and I'm a little hairy for tights."

Sounds Like A Robin May Appear In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES...
Published on: Feb 05, 2011 10:19:41 AM CST
    Merrick here...

THIS brief newslet posted at the website for Michigan television station WILX revealed a potentially interesting tidbit about the filming of, and a character in, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

According to Eaton County and Grand Ledge officials who didn't want to be identified due to confidentiality agreements, production crews from "The Dark Knight Rises" scouted locations in Grand Ledge's Fitzgerald Park last week.

They looked at the Ledges as well as a water treatment plant located inside the park. Sources say the area is being considered as a hideout for Batman sidekick Robin.

    Interesting (if true).

So here's the question (again, presuming these details are accurate): does "Robin" actually refer to Batman's sidekick Robin? Or, might someone be circuitously referring to Hugo Strange, who a bevy of recent rumors (like THIS ONE) have suggested might be played by Robin Williams? Yes, I know the piece indicates "sidekick" - but I wonder...

If WILX's source is referring to the sidekick Robin? As long is he's played by Justin Bieber, I'm all for it. For whatever it's worth, the WILX report does dovetail somewhat with recent indications that TDKR is scouting locations in Michigan (like THIS write-up at OnLocationVacations).

I'd also imagine that this kind of leak (if there's any validity to it), while fun for folks like us, could potentially dampen Team Nolan's interest in shooting in the area. Or, perhaps their interest was already dampened, hence the supposed leak?

Thanks to Dynamicb for pointing us towards this. Again, this is all rather...undefined...so consume with a grain of salt.

If they're bringing in Robin Williams AND Joseph Gordon Levitt, it has to be Williams as the Riddler and Levitt as Strange.

This movie could easily top 3 hours with all of the characters they'd have to introduce.

Would be awesome if they could bring back the Penguin, but I doubt Danny Devito is down for it. Perhaps if they found someone else who could take his place.

Gordon-Levitt seems to me like he'd make a better Riddler but I thought Nolan already confirmed that he wouldn't be in the movie.

Too many "main" characters kill a comic book movie IMO. They need to simplify this fucking script/cast.
