Ayers can do it all - cover, get after the quarterback, fuck your life up, change a game...dude's just nasty.

Don't be surprised Ayers gets drafted by a 4-3 team, he's one of the most balanced players at his position.

The fact that people see him as a legitimate option as at just about any LB position that exists should really answer that question. Like Dub Dub and E said, he can do everything.

I agree about his athleticism, but I don't think he's going to transition to the pro game right away.

2012 season he hits his stride. Don't ask me why. That's the impression I get from watching him play.

I probably going to be wrong, but its what my eyes tell me.

I know rookies are rarely pro ready, but think he's really going to struggle in his first year.

I agree and disagree. He won't appear to be as successful as Player B who can go into a system and be only passrusher. Player B will get some sacks, be apart of a strong rotation, and be considered an up and comer. Ayers will be the guy who starts from day one, and has his overall game develop over the course of the year. He won't light up any statistical category, but by December he'll be an animal. The overall decision on 2011 will be up in the air, but for '12 he'll be in a much better spot.

Pretty much why I took him with the Rams @ 14.
All of the reports I read emphasized his versatility, keen sense for the ball, disruption of runs, athletic ability -- sideline to sideline...etc.
Seems as complete as you can get sub-professional.

But do the Jets really want to get caught up in the confusion of molding another hybrid player?

If the Jets draft a LB, then I'd bet anything they take a NT in the 3rd.

The dude's 6'4". If he plays ILB he's going to lose his knees in about 4 weeks.

Lawrence Guy can read an upside down offense while not paying attention.

...finally someone agrees with me about Terrell McClain!

Terrell "The Dancing Bear" McClain terrorized the Big East; I watched him firsthand at the UConn-USF game this past season... he's a beast.

Amazing prospect and a steal in the 4th or 5th rd.

McClain is a MONSTER. He has all the tangibles I would want for a rotational Dlineman for the Jets to draft. He can play NT or DE with some effectiveness , also he is just a run stuffer in the trenches and thats one thing we'll definitely need in the playoffs next season. Hopefully he's there in the 5th though, Kind of wishful thinking on my part.

Thanks for the comments man, very much appreciated!
