Overall a dissapointing Royal Rumble match from the parts I was able to see. Booker T returns to get stomped out by the Nexus and Kevin Nash didnt last long either. Hornswoggle just needs to be released, it was really stupid seeing Heather Slater and Tyson Kidd job to him. Im actually really glad Del Rio won the whole thing, for awhile there I was nervous Orton or John Cena would win, god that would have sucked completly.
Triple H did not return and I think this was a one night only thing for Kevin Nash. It would be completly ridiculous if they actually signed him to a long term contract, he proved tonight that hes a no talent hack that should just retire already. He entered in and looked so out of place, he was slow, and looked really foolish in the Royal Rumble.
Gayest Rumble ever... glad i just watched the stream.. edit: Christian is right...atleast orton or cena didn't win
When it was Punk and his guys taking out everybody that came in, I was enjoying the match. Then Cena comes in, throws out the whole new Nexus, and Hornwoggle comes out and it went from interesting to shit only a 5 year old would get a kick out of. It never recovered from there.
Sting dosen't wrestle Taker at Wrestlemania, you're gone for a week. If he does, I'll leave for that week. So it is written, so it is done.
You gotta figure that promo was for Sting. As far as WM, I believe they are trying to get a Lesnar Undertaker match going.
Apparently, Sting has signed a 1 year deal with the WWE, this poster someone made on the WWE message board is pretty sweet. http://www.wwe-club.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=124901 Just gotta scroll down a bit to see it. The NY Daily news reported that Sting has signed but who knows if thats true or not. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/even-more-on-22111-ny-daily-news-reports-sting-to-wwe-122681 And as of right now Wade Barrett is the favorite to wrestle Taker at Wrestlemania but im sure that isn't set in stone.
I don't see a reason for Sting to wrestle Taker. Sure, it might be fun for all the marks but what does it do for either? I don't know what they'll do with Sting. Hopefully it's just a Legends deal like with Nash, get him into the hall and get him away from TNA and market his fucking face off. Barrett on the other hand, would make tons of sense. No way he breaks the streak, but this could be the match that makes him.
The only way I would want Barrett to face taker is if his stable doesn't interfere on his behalf. It would make him look really weak if it was a 4 on 1 and he still lost, which he would. If he loses cleanly but doesn't get squashed it would make him look strong. Hes starting to remind me a lot of Randy Orton last year when legacy interfered in all his matches. Just makes a guy look bad if he can't win without help.
The Taker's match at WM is meaningless, unless the viewer actually believes that the opponent has a chance to end the streak, such as Shawn Michaels' career match. Did anyone REALLY think Mark Henry was going to end the streak? Sting gives that match a level of believability that no one else does. The guy is so respected in the industry that one might actually believe that Calloway would do the job for him.
