Hehe, every year, there is that one day where all of the buffoon meteorologists on local TV here agree that San Antonio will get snow. This year it's Thursday, February 3rd. I'll be eagerly awaiting the Great White Pumpkin.

Cancelled already?? The snow was coming down good in Boston when I got in about 8am off the train. We weren't getting any snow up in NH yet though. You must be south of Boston then? Schools around here are mostly still open.
Ice Storm Prepping Sounds like a crazy idea, but I know it works. Get the biggest garbage bag you can find. Drape it over the top of the driver's side door of your vehicle and close the door tightly. It will blow around in the wind some, but will help prevent heavy ice buildup. If you can sort of wrap it around the sides and top of the door, even better. It will still ice up, but getting into your vehicle will be a whole lot easier. You just pull on the garbage bag and the ice cracks right off. Then at least you can get it started and warmed up before clearing the rest of the ice off. If we get a half inch of ice tonight... you will thank me later. I would not try this if your doors tend to leak a little, but if the seals are in good shape, it works. It is also helpful if you have someone inside when you close the door to prevent the bag from wrinkling as you shut the door. Then they get out on the other side.

tried the snow in the pants but it didn't last long enough.instead i just stop every twenty mins drop pants and tea bag a snow bank.got some looks from the neighbors but fuck em,gotta get the cars out
Just talked to my dad in Queens, he said they're closing the Clearview Expwy (and I assume some other highways) because of the ice storm.
