Not to be a douche coming in here, but people need to get the fuck over the loss, it happened there's nothing we can do, we were obviously not ready to play in the first half and it bit us in the ass, we didn't deserve to win that game simple as that

Get over it, it's not the end of the world, with this new regime sometimes we need to experience pain to experience the ultimate success, it happens to all great players and teams

Let's move on and see how this football team gets better

Some of them don't care all that much about winning. That's just the way it is.

I am so sick, last night I went to a vip section of a NYC bar. I ordered shots/rounds for everyone and hit on some hot ass bartender.

Afterwards, I got some $4000 an hour escort and looked her Appointment book. Seems I got in before "Mexican QB of local sports team"..........hmmmm

Lol I see the abortion clinic bomber, sanctimonious pompous douche is telling everyone what they should do with their lives...........rotflmao.

He's right though, junc. You would rather win an argument than have your argument be right. It's kind of sad to witness after almost a decade.

If I win the argumetn doesn't that make the argument right?

I give my honest, eductaed opinions backed up w/ facts. There are times I hope I am wrong such as whne I take a negative stance w/ the Jets like w/ Jason Taylor and Nick Folk but I usually end up correct. I apologize if that offends people.

Don't lecture me pal. I'll get over it in time, some of us been down this road a long time and realize this could be it for 10-20 years, it took is from 1998-2009 the last time. I am a 30 year season ticket holder and a 40 year fan and 52 years old and I am getting the feeling I am going to die without seeing this team win a Super Bowl. Ask a Cub fan or how many Red Sox fans did. You seize the moment. How old are you kid???

Been a fan for about 5 or 6 years. Even though I'm aware of the history of this team, I don't have the pain attached to it, apart from the most recent falling short of the ultimate prize. I am relatively optimistic by nature and I strongly beleive this organization is entering a "Golden Era". I think the depth the organization has, from front office through to active players, has a solid foundation now. If you look down the line at the roster and look at who is still under contract for a few seasons, the core of the team is set.

The best part about all this, we have young players who have had playoff football experience, that you cannot buy!

I understand there are a couple of very good players that may be let go due to finances, but overall, this organization is not in developing status anymore, we are now in a strong position.

I would have made this a new topic, but I dont have a 50 count in posts. I think it would be a good topic to discuss.

I've known guys that could debate the losing side of the argument and win. It's not about being right with you, it's the perception of winning, which is not always on the right side of the argument. It's not about being positive or negative. It's about winning. And you of course determine in your mind the criteria for winning, so in the end you always perceive victory.

Maybe we should devote more time to this.

It's not about perception, I understand this game better than most on here. perfecte xample- you guys will look at the boxscore and say ben was terrible b/c of his #s. Those that truly understand the game realize how well he played as he made huge plays for Pitt all night. This is the same line of thinking that leads some people to say Manning is better than Brady.

I can handle groups of people coming after me b/c I am comfortable w/ my knowledge of the game so I don't get swayed by a group of average fans that get all their info from ESPN. I don't throw pom poms in the air w/ every move the Jets make, I criticize and praise based on what I think. Sometimes I am wrong(Alan Faneca) but most of the time I am right(Taylor, Folk, etc...). Some people don't get it and never will, others do get it.

There are a bunch of posters on the board who I truly respect their knowledge(many of which I debate w/ and it might seem that I don't like them or respect them but I do). I don't worry about the gangs of posters who know as much about this game as my 6 year old.

There are people on this board who are less knowledgeable than others and stilt their arguments with box score stats, but the fact that you made that generalization tells me a lot about your lone-wolf windmill-challenger attitude on this forum.

I know how good Ben is, even of some fans are too burned by the game the Jets just lost to admit the obvious - that Ben Roethlisberger is shaping up to be an all-time great in the NFL.

See what I mean? Look at your language. You're tilting at windmills.

There will always be gangs of posters who don't know shit. But the battles you choose end up defining you in the format of a message board.

Ben playing well when he had to doesn't mean he played a good game.

My post history speaks for itself. I don't run and bump up threads every time I am right(how could anyone have enough time in a day to do that?), I urge anyone who has questions to go through the post history.

Beautiful generalization! Bravo, you really have outdone yourself with this post and that sentence.

You were wrong about Folk btw... didn't lose us a game all year.

You could say the same for Sanchez in half our wins this year, but he played well when it counted, which is what great quarterbacks do. If you don't play well in big spots, you earn the title of Choker.

Like Peyton Manning. The guy has had a storied career, will end up breaking all the records, and I think it may be quite possible that he only wins one ring. Same with Marino. 'Playing well all the time' doesn't mean shit if you can't do it in the postseason. And the postseason is where Big Ben is a viking.

Im not disagreeing with you. But if Wilson and Revis actually catch the ball, no ones talking about Ben's runs. They're talking about his 30 QB rating and his 4 picks. Ben's improvising skills are awesome, he's the best in the game at that....but passing wise, he wasnt great. Without that defense he has, he's not a two time Super Bowl Champ....and would certainly not be in the Super Bowl this season.

Brady hasnt played well in his last 3 playoff games- is he now a choker?

It's that mentality that thinks Manning is better than Brady, it's about more than #s. The Ben point just illustrates that. here's another one- people saying sanchez played better at Indy in the '09 title game than at SD the week before. That wasn't true despite better #s.

I wasn't wrong about Folk b/c if we keep feely we don't waste money on Jason taylor and while Folk didn't lose us any games w/ FGs(though he tired) his KOs were terrible and put us in bad spopts inclduing that dud the other night.

The only one I was wrong about was letting Faneca go and I wasn't against letting him go I wanted to see Sluason(or Ducasse) earn it first.

You are taking a shot at my post history?

Brady has enough credibility built up to have those bad games unlike a Manning. We can play the what iof game all day but the bottom line is Ben was making plays all first half and w/ the game on the line needing 2 first downs he converted both.

LOL I find it funny coming from you of all people that you would have a problem with this.

Everybody deals with stuff in their own way. So they went out and had some drinks and tried to get their mind off of it. It isn't like that loss isn't going to be walking around behind them everywhere they go. They are going to have to go back to the complex at some point and review what happened right and wrong. In fact, another article had Sanchez back to work the very next day even though he wasn't expected.

Manning has A Super Bowl too. And for the record I think Brady is better. Even though Brady isnt nearly as good as he was pre knee injury.

Ben made a lot of great plays when he had to, but he didnt win that game by himself. I thought the Jets lack of intensity on defense lost them the game...not Ben making plays.
