2 players were seen out drinking after a loss. How does this constitute the Jets partying? Those 2 guys are NY Jets...nobody said they were partying, by the way.
This is still being talked about? Such a non-issue. It's the same old crotchety Jet fans that look to complain about anything. On top of everything else that was already mentioned, these guys worked their asses off all TC and the season. That's a hell of a grind, just for that reason alone this should be a non-issue. People act like they were out wearing Steeler hats and hanging out with Ben Rapesgirlsburgers.
The Jets might have won the game if they had not gone out afterwards. I mean it probably affected their play. Oh wait!
Fans take it harder then players, they have not been Jets for 35 years. Don't care if I am the only one on this board that feels this way. Players go where the money is, they don't give a damm about the team once the contract is over so forget this Jet love crap. They are gonna strike and not play in September, who's gonna get screwed, we are. They can live on what they made already. Most of them are in the Carribean right now living it up. Sanchez is 1 in 1000. I am still pissed about Sunday. Wait till the Pack kill the Steelers, its gonna hurt again.
The owners are the ones who opted out of the collective bargaining agreement. The players want to play.
Which is important to remember when we think about what the cap is going to look like in the future; the lockout is taking place because the owners think the cap is going up too much and because they think they have the leverage to push it back down. They may be wrong but the expectation that there's going to be a huge, huge cap next year is based on pretty shaky assumptions.
I didn't read any of this... But, MY GOD... The depression and feeling they must have after that game... I'm sure they were wired and couldn't sleep.. Instead of Super Bowl parties they were left with nothing.. I have no problem if some of these guys partied and drank for the next 5 days straight.. Just don't drive.
I am sure no one here has ever had a bad day at the office and then gone out to the local TGIFridays for happy hour and to hit on skanky waitresses.
Wow.....Joe Namath and Don Maynard never did anything like this........ Big fucking deal, they had a couple of drinks after a tough season....
LOL. The Patsfan forums love junc's response to this topic. Not sure how they got wind of this thread though: http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...ght-after-playoff-loss-page2.html#post2465475
i don't know why you keep bringing up the fact that you've been a jets fan for longer than they've been jets. that has nothing to do with the fact that they are experiencing the loss firsthand. they are the one who lost. you did not. no matter how much you think you did, you didn't. you watched as they lost everything they had worked their entire season, career and lives for. i'm not arguing that you care about the jets more than some of the players. they're not jet fans. they're the actual jets. they're not paid to be lifelong jets. they're on contracts and the team has the ability to cut them at any time. the players know this. the team knows this. LT was the arguably greatest charger of all time. you think it hurt any less for him on sunday because he hasn't been a jet for 40 years? that's ridiculous. and you think the strike will affect the fans more than the players? that doesn't sound crazy to you? what exactly are you losing? you lose entertainment on sunday for five months. they lose an entire year of paychecks and a year gone from their athletic careers. can you really say a strike screws you harder than mark sanchez? are you serious? they are pissed about the loss too. you are not a special emo snowflake.
"It's nice to know that every team forum has their collection of nutjobs." LOLOLOLOLOOOOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!
No problem with it. If Sanchez isn't taking the game as hard as you and I are then there is something wrong with us not him. He was actually playing in the game so if he can get over it we should to.
I see it as the opposite.... I think the guy was so distraught he didn't know what to do with himself and certainly didn't want to go right home and sleep... So, he hit a bar for 2 hours. W O W! It's as if he was supposed to go to the biggest party ever at midnight and got locked out at the last second... FOR REAL.... I think these guys take it just as hard as we do.. it's not like he had work in the morning or anything else to do for a little while.. THE SEASON IS OVER... That's a tough thing to grasp for someone who was ALL-IN and laid it all on the line for the past 8 months.
