This is nothing new.. one of the many reasons Shittenheimer sucks. I feel like I'm beating a dead horse, but he never comes into a game with an actual game plan. They come out and see what the defense is doing and then try to adjust to that. They totally let the defense dictate what they're gonna be able to do instead of just lining up and saying this is what we are going to do and we are going to beat you. Few teams have as much talent as the Jets, but it's like the offense comes out and plays scared.
Do you honestly believe the horse shit you just wrote? They don't have a gameplan coming into the game? Give me a break. Not scoring in the 1st quarter certainly reflects poorly on Schotty, but what you just posted is a bunch of bullshit that you dreamed up. It probably has a lot to do with us always deferring and Nacho taking a bit to get into a rhythm. Schotty could help that out by giving him some easy passes early on. Next year you'll see a better Sanchez and this probably won't be nearly as big of a problem.
No, they obviously have a game plan, it just sucks. Every single week. He never comes in with a plan on how to attack a defense's weaknesses, like other teams do. The Steelers came out and knew exactly how and where to attack the Jets the other day. Shotty, as usual, took about 2 full quarters to come up with a way to attack the Steelers. Against the Colts, they couldn't stop a run to save their lives. So what does Shotty do? Come out passing of course. Took until the 3rd quarter to run the ball down their throats. When was the last time they came into a game with a solid game plan that they were able to stick with and watch it work out in the end? Against Buffalo the first time, maybe?
Can someone direct me to a thread that isn't dominated by liquid excrement stinkage with reasonable discussion? You know, like that blow up the defense thread... oh, wait...maybe that Gary Myers thread... uh, nope. Maybe the sign Ngata thread... whoops.
Gotta give all the people that just want to blame the OC for everything a few more days to stop posting. Then you gotta wait for something worthy of actual discussion to be posted. So until draft talk heats up I think you are screwed.
relax... If the thread quality is bothering you NOW.....you should probably take a break from this forum then....because this is just the beginning. But this shouldn't be new to you, you've been here long enough to know what the offseason is like here.
Nah you're right.. the game plans early in games clearly do work very well. Shotty knows exactly how to attack defenses and exploit their weaknesses. And when he has extra time to prepare, he comes up with even better plans, as evidenced by the Ravens, Packers, and Patriots #2 games.
Mike I'm with you man. This is really unimaginable when you have 3 #1 WRs, explosive TE, top 5 Oline, HOF running back and one of the best back up Rb in the league. Whats even more crazy is its not like you have 3 WR that all do the same things. Holmes is the speed burner and great route runner, Braylon is a vertical threat and physical presense while Cotch will find the holes.
Exactly. Defer every time and that has nothing to do with the first quarter stat? Of course it does...
