Yeah Jack, we're getting a foot or more tonight.

I have plow mountains on my driveway that are 8 feet high and none of our snow has melted on my property. I have about 5 total feet of hardpack snow just sitting there waiting to melt.

When all this snow melts, the flooding is going to be crazy in the valley.

As always though, more snow please. It's all gravy for me.

Just eyeballing it, I'm guessing this is ten feet plus. Looks bigger on the ground.

I think they missed the boat with this storm.

I heard it wasn't supposed to start snowing until 12pm and it would be light until the evening when it would accumulate.

It's been snowing since 7:30am and it's pretty steady.

What are all those tall things sticking out of the ground in the background? Don't they get in the way of, y'know, everything? Plus, I bet they attract animals, like birds, and squirrels, 'n shit. You should be able to cut them all down and burn them or build something with them, no?

I have 23 acres, no reason to cut the ones closest to the house... I do cut and burn all my own wood for fuel though, saves $$ and is fun too.

I only have one neighbor close enough to see, his house is in the upper left hand corner. For much of the year, the trees hide his house from view which is nice..

My driveway is insane though, sucks bad. Its about 650' long and is at a ridiculous angle. 2 years ago the oil delivery guy went off my driveway and now they won't deliver unless it's really sanded which is a major PITA.

I went off the driveway after the big storm a few weeks ago because I was out plowing two towns away all night and by the time I arrived home there was about 2 feet on the driveway.

To the right of my truck is the end of a 300' uphill section that is crazy.... I still had a long way to go before I reached the house.

The Berkshires are sweet but they are insane in the winter.

For LI, Weather Channel is calling for 6 to 10, National Weather service says 8 to 13. This is a good thing. I want that GO JETS thing gone. I cry every time I look at it.

Maybe just fill in the "go" part? You still love the Jets! ....although since you salted it, maybe filling it in is not an option. And MAYBE the salt will make the new snow melt right away too and you are stuck with it ALL WINTER! And MAYBE the salt will burn the grass brown and it will say GO JETS in the lawn FOREVER!!!

...sorry caffiene just kicked in :rofl2:

When I first moved to Cali I felt the same way about snow.

You do start to miss it after a while though.

My kids dig it so it's cool.

This was an f'ed up storm from the beginning..it was actually two storms with a lighter storm first...and a much stronger storm for the overnight. It was actually correct except the first storm was a bit stronger than they thought.

Right now..we in northern nj are getting more than an inch an hour..total for the day so far for me is close to 10 inches.

Sorry I havent posted on this storm but the depression for me usually lasts 5 days before I get my shit together after the final loss of the season.

Storm will be at its strongest point from now until around 3 or 4 am...and it will be actually a beautiful sunny day tomorrow...but many more storms loom on the horizon until the end of march.

I've got NOTHING here. About three inches fell during the day, and now there's nothing. Meanwhile, every goddamn school in the region was closed for tomorrow just because some weatherman's dick twitched. This winter is intolerable.

It's actually coming down in brooklyn pretty heavily at the moment. Can't remember the last time it snowed this many days in NY. My kids love it only because they don't have to do shit in it but make snow angels. Lol

Also, RWD in the snow is ass.

Note to self: get snow tires.

Parked my car at a 7-11 and walked home. I'll get it tomorrow. Can't get up any of the hills to get to my house.

Snowing like a motherfucker here on the South Shore. I could barely open up the back door to let my dog out to piss. Looks like I'll be up early shoveling....AGAIN.
