He has proven to be a big game player. He will continue to grow into one of the best QB's in the league. As long as he is healthy the Jets will be able to compete every year.

    OK. Makes sense to me.

I wonder if anyone will disagree with such a profound statement.

Fucking genius man, I'll tell you.

I'm thinking the other 52 guys on the roster just might have some effect on the team's development. We're not getting any younger in key positions and at some point, we will retool. Probably sooner than later.

He might have a QB rating over 90 the next 3 years and we may not get back to the AFC CG.

    There's no guarantees.

Ask John Elway, Dan Marino, and other greats who thought certain years would lead to multiple trips back.

I think that talent-wise we're in pretty good shape on Offense. QB, OL, RB and )depending on what happens with Edwards & Homes) WR.

What could set them back a bit is having to plug lots of holes on Defense. We desperately need a pass-rushing threat-probably an OLB. We could also use upgrades on the DL and at Safety. If Cromartie goes, is Wilson ready? Overall, I see the Defense needing a pretty serious overhaul. Outside of Revis and perhaps Harris who is there to really build around??

Sanchez "took a step" in the playoffs, but he needs to make that is normal play. 60% completion, TD to INT at better than 2-1, solid 90 or better QB rating. He can't go back to 52% comp and 1:.9 TD:INT ratio. Also will need to see what is really up with his shoulder.

I will say Sanchise has arrived after he consistently plays well throughout a 16 regular game season with the stats bearing it out. He had a paltry 75 rating (27th in the league) and 54% (29th in the league) Keep in mind this is out of 31 eligible players. If he was on a bad team team it would show a lot more than with a defense and running game that disguises it.

I'd like to see how Sanchez plays with a REAL offensive coordinator.

What's interesting is that it's not like he played at that level (75 rating) every game. He really fluctuated from one extreme to the other. Had several games at over 100 but he also had some below 50. Like you said, main thing lacking is consistency. He's shown that he has the physical tools and this year he showed that he has the intangibles as well.

Do you agree or not agree that Sanchez played a hell of a game against the Colts, Patriots, and Steelers?

If you'de like, I'll trade you Phillip Rivers for him. Rivers sounds more like your guy. AWESOME in the regular season, shits a brick in the postseason.

Not to mention he has the worst throwing motion I've ever seen. It's horrifying to watch.

Sanchez needs to take the next step and complete 50% of his passes next year. The Jets need to get him a TE that can catch and a maybe a 4th WR to spread teams out with. But yes, he did take a step in the playoffs, and hopefully he can translate that into a big 2011.

Why, so you can complain about how the new guy sucks every time something goes wrong?

This team NEVER scored in the 1st quarter. You don't see anything wrong with that?

dude, you need to get off NFL.com and watch the games. You also need to understand football is not a game of numbers. You need to learn a lot because the tired argument you constantly give is complete shit.

Of course I see something wrong with that.

I also know that if Schotty was fired tomorrow you would hate the new guy by Friday.

You guys can argue the STATS vs HE WINS PLAYOFF GAMES!!!! for the next few months endlessly. I think the bottom line is, if you just watch the games he got a lot better this season. If you just want to look at the stats, he's got a positive TD to INT ratio which is what you want from a second year QB, and he only had one game where he imploded (New England). He still makes some bad throws, but he's gotten a lot better.

For the stat guys, if his improvement continues and he has the right "toys" to play with on offense, and perhaps more of a pass balanced attack he could break 4000 yards in a few seasons. Believe it.

The only issue might be how good was he in 2010 because of the talent around him. He had two #1 WR's this season, a #2 as a #3, a Hall Of Fame RB, great fullback, good pass catching TE, good offensive line, etc. How well will he do next season if Braylon and Holmes don't return?

I look for Sanchez to have a huge year in 2011. 3600 yards, 28 TDs 11 INTs. He's grown up a lot this season...since that second Miami game save for one bad half against the Colts the kid's been money.
