Dont get me wrong I love the guy but I dont see him making any big plays. He got runover by Mendenhall and saw him miss alot of tackles(granted who didnt). Even in the patriots game he seemed nonexistent. On another note schotty has to go. He thinks he is smarter than he really is. Just like his pops who never won anything either. How you take out Greene on the goal line is beyond me. thought we were ground and pound. Also on the fumble by sanchez, we should have just run the ball and punted. Another bad call by schotty.
I've been unimpressed by Scott specifically and our LB's in general all season. Harris is good but our LB corps overall is pretty average if you ask me.
I love Bart's brashness and pride, but I can't recall one stick-out big play he himself made this season.
Im not singling him out for the loss at all. im just looking at the whole season and how he played. im trying to think of some great play he made during the year and i cant really think of any. Trust me the loss goes on the whole defense. everyone makes a big deal about the 2nd half but they couldnt get a stop at the end when it mattered most.
I know that Bart is supposed to be the guy who knocks the blockers out of the way. But without singling him out, imo the linebackers were the weakest unit on the field for the Jets. I don't think any of them, including Harris, had a particularly good game.
I agree about Pace, he is a total let down. had that one good year and got the big contract. early in the game he was the one guy who could have gotten to ben but he ends up doing a split. how much longer is his contract for?
Bart Scott is a good player, the problem is that he is basically the same player as Harris. Both are good players, but not flashy players. So, if you have those 2 guys at MLB, you cant have bad players at OLB, and the Jets have bad OLB's...
My answer has nothing to do with the game last night but i'd say yes. As another poster said,I can't remember too many Bart Scott highlite reel plays during his time with us,although i'm sure there are a few.
Week 1 When he took out Jenkins, Bart is always good for getting that Extra Hit in He Made a big play in the Indy Game, I think it was on one of the 3rd Down Runs or a Bubble screen but he made a big solo tackle to end Indy's drive when they had some Momentum in the 4th
I'm actually wondering the same thing myself. I can't remember how long he signed for and don't feel like googling it.
Then go back and think. He makes the GAME SAVING TACKLE IN INDY ON BLAIRE WHITE TO FORCE THEM TO KICK A FG. BART SHED HIS BLOCKER, THEN MAKES A HUGE TACKLE COMPLETELY OUT OF POSITION TO FORCE INDY TO KICK A FG, AND GIVE US THE BALL BACK IN WHICH WE CAME BACK AND WON THE GAME. SHUT UP GUYS.\
Pace is overpaid too. Gotta make cuts somewhere. There's two obvious ones. Not to mention GHOSTon's fatty contract too.
