We've gotten closer than ever. The front office will continue to strive and make this team better. You have to believe. Why else watch sports? When they win it will be the best thing you've ever felt

scary thing is marino had taken his team to the super bowl his first year and did some more things with the phins.

The Jets have Sanchez taking his teams to the AFC championship games right away...The fact that we might get a chance to go to a third AFC championship game in a row......sounds almost impossible

They will be back. For the first time in my 31 years watching the Jets, they have a franchise QB and a hell of a coach at the same time.

Were in a much better situation then the Dolphins were back then

We'll be back, I have no doubt about it, as the offense gets better and the defense gets the players it needs, we'll be in contention

I really thought the Jets were going to take a step back this year honestly. I never quite bought into the pre-season hype and I was worried that some of the off-season acquisitions would blow up in their face.

I really don't know what to think about next year. I guess it's just way too early to tell. But right off the bat I'm concerned about the # of Free Agents to sign and the lack of draft picks. They really can't afford any more busts (Gholston) or "projects" (DuCasse, Wilson).

I hope that whole "Third time's the charm" saying is true.

I felt the same way in the beginning of the season - especially with getting rid of Feeley, Faneca and Jones. But the guys they brought in did a heck of a job, and they had a very solid team his year.

I am getting the same kind of feeling about next year, especially with the long list of FAs, and the uncertainty over the CBA. I'm not quite sure of what to make of it just yet, as far as expectations.

Part of the fun will be to see how Rex and Tanny form the 2011 Jets.

Only time will tell what the future has in store for us. I'm looking forward to it.

Something just occurred to me - as soon as Champ finds his way back here, he's going to update his signature and start another month-long thread.

We'll be better the next few years. We have a great coach, young QB, RB, OL and a talented nucleus of players on both sides of the ball. If you think this was our best chance at winning, you're nuts.

Wait till we get younger and faster on the DL, were gonna be flat out nasty.

Next year, we'll score more points and be the #1 defense again.

Well - I am hoping that Brady does not repeat his MVP season from this year and we can win the division and be a #1 or #2 seed. If so, I have the utmost confidence we will be back in the AFCCG next year. Asking this team to win 3 road playoff games every year is crazy! They squandered a golden chance this year, and it stings real bad - but what can you do besides hope for the best and keeping taking years off your life by screaming at the TV. Or, if you are like me, spend $1,600/yr for season tix, and take years off your life screaming at them LIVE!
