U really do feel bad for the guy.. He loves his team n they love him.. I feel real Bad for Sanchez tho... All u hear about is Matty cool ryan n Flaco... Sanchez is a good QB man.. N the kid ONLY played 16 games at USC
Say what you will, but Rex owns alot of this defeat today. He really, REALLY, needs to go to clock management class and study hard. He also needs to take a step back and honestly asses his CS in light of what we've witnessed this year. How many games did the offensive game plan outright suck? How many games did this team only play one half of effective football? When Rex evaluates this season, if he doesn't take the green glasses off when he evaluates his staff, we're in for more dissapointments in the immediate future.
I've got no problem with him running the brash talk as long as the Jets are going deep into the playoffs, the players seem to like it so I have no problem with it. He does need to tighten up the pace of the game and the playcalling though. I think alot of the delays in calls are Schotty's fault though, he seems indecisive sometimes and outthinks himself.
Thank you Rex Ryan! After all of the shit this team went through this year, you still got them to the AFC championship game. You found ways to win and you inspired your team to never give up. They reflect your personality. When they came out flat tonight, you found a way to get them back into the game until the end. That is not SOJ football! Rebuild, have a great offseason, and let's get a bye and home field advantage next year so we don't have to play in these miserable shitholes!
all we need is a home playoff game or two. And a fucking bye week. I've been all-in on Rex and nothing's changed. On a side note, I hate the Packers and Steelers, this is going to be a terrible game for me to watch
I love the guy, but he like every coach gets outcoached. The Steelers dominated the first half. I give him all the credit for the comeback. Hopefully as he coaches for more years, this type of flat first half will never happen again in such a big game.
I want so bad to think he's a joke, but he isn't. He got the team to believe that they could come out in the second half and win the game, and they damn near did. That's impressive. I didn't have any problem with the things he's been saying, even before the Pats game, but that was talk. He showed something in this game that any team would love to have, an ability to motivate his team to come back from insurmountable odds. Win or lose, RR got this team to fight till the end, when most teams would have packed it in. That's a great coach.
Unfortunately, today was on the the entire team. The coaching staff right on down to the players. They came out flat. Flat for the AFC Championship game. That is on Rex as much as anyone. That said he has a bunch to improve on. I am fairly certain he will do what is required to improve. This Jets team is but the improvement of Sanchez and clock management issues away from being a Super Bowl team.
you want to know what Rex has taken away from this game? He has decided that he needs at least 1 home game in the playoffs, and preferably a bye. He wants nothing more than to play the AFCCG in our house next year. Which of course means we have to win the god damn divison for the first time since like 2002. Can't Wait
I think Sanchez is playing at a Super Bowl level. It was the Jets run defense that was flat today and cost them the game. I had never seen Mendenhall run so well. It was really weird as a Steelers fan to see that. I thought I had gone ten years back in time, and Jerome Bettis was the RB.
you also said in the game thread that I'm and idiot for saying Schottenheimer stinks. So, grain of salt.
