I dont know how you can argue that the Pats future is brighter than ours. They have a 68 year old coach and a 34 year old QB who has gotten injured like crazy (but still plays), and outside of that their team is massively lacking talent. Their defense blows, their losing OL talent, they have old injury prone wrs, they have no hbs, their team is NOT gonna do more than us going forward. This is fact
Oh, wow. I didn't realize you were hearing from Jets fans how bright the future was when they were mired in long stretches of terrible teams with aging rosters. If there is one fanbase that has no business coming over here to try to rub salt in the wounds, it's the Pats'.
Once Sanchez gets a little more experience and you can truly rely on him to win games when the running game fails you guys will be set up for a potential dynasty. I think you guys need to figure out a way to beat the Patriots in the regular season and win the AFCE. I don't underestimate having to go on the road for three weeks in a row. You guys need to get some home playoff games and byes and you will be set.
And with all of that they still went 14-2 while winning the division during their rebuilding year. They have rookies all over and a million picks.
You're the same guy who think Belichik is 68 (he's 58). I think you need to work on your math. The Jets fans who know the score know there are going to be some tough decisions to make on who to keep and who to let walk. They are still going to be very good, and maybe even better. But they will lose some of the bigger names on the team.
They also suck at drafting, and aside from the TE's (which I believe are over-rated) and McCourty, their rookies weren't exactly world beaters.
In all likelihood, some of their older names. The biggest decision will be at WR, where you have two solid young starting WRs in Edwards and Holmes.
Exactly. Last year was their first good draft in forever. With how they stockpile picks, if they did draft well, they'd be incredible. They'd also have an impossible time keeping their guys signed under a cap.
And still havent won a playoff game in 3 years. Say what you want about them, but Bradys carrying that franchise on his back alone and his years are limited
the future is unknown. We were the best team on paper this year. We're an OC from winning it all. I feel sick, yet still feel extremely proud to root for this team.
Very possible. I doubt Rex wants to lose any D. One of the WRs is probably gonna be gone just because they can't pay them both. Holmes is probably better, but Edwards would come cheaper. I think Holmes is gonna want the kind of money the Chargers wouldn't give jackson.
Yeah having a 2nd year QB having 4 playoff wins, and almost winning the AFCCG twice in 2 different seasons means nothing. But winning 45-3 against the jets in the regular season and getting shit on in your first playoff game is a huge accomplishment.
Second straight year...wow. Belichick has been stockpiling picks for close to a decade, and his drafts, up until last year, have been average to below average. Wow. I thought Pats fans and their apologists might have been a little silenced after last week.
Free agency/ a potential strike/injuries......you never know when we will get back here. We'll have an idea what's up in August 2011.
The idea that I'm probably gonna be a Packers fan for the last game I see in (Geezus, I hope not) a long while doesn't feel too great. I'll probably be rooting for my pool square numbers really anyway!
Average enough to dominate a division for nearly a decade. The Jets were out drafted this year by a mile.
