He looked absolutely devastated in the post-game interview. I feel bad for the man. He's a great coach and the team let him down.
He wasn't a great in game coach today. Clock management was bizarre in the second half, and I don't know how a great motivator like that gets his team out there to start the game that soft. Though I do agree with your sentiment, this sucks for him, us, everybody. But there's always next year (if there's football...).
I love Rex Ryan....2 AFC championship games in his first 2 years is nothing to be ashamed of. He just needs to tone down the brash talk. Not a lot......just a little bit.
I don't want him to change a damn thing. The mouth and swagger is who we are now. The whole league now knows we aren't a fucking pushover anymore.
I would have liked for him to have had a better defensive gameplan against the run to START the game, too.
I think this loss is hurting Rex more than anyone of us right now. You guys see him rip off his headset and hat? He was devastated. He really wanted this, but there's no doubt in my mind he'll get one soon.
I don't need for him to tone it down. I need for him to find some help on the D line, and then either slap Schotty out out of the fog he's in, or find a new OC.
Outside of poor clock management this game, he had a lot of freak situations like no secondary last year and no D in the first half this year
I feel bad for Rex. I feel the same way when he threw down the head set after the Steelers got the first down. The offense Coordinator got to go!
Having just listened to the post game .I can now confirm ,REX is a whole hunk of man , I love him ,and and have told my wife to go f--k herself ...
