I see no way why we would consider bringing him back. He was a ghost today and pretty much all season. Especially now that we have Santonio making big plays all over the field, Braylon is dead to me...
The Jets need to shift the focus of the team off of defense, let a few of the overrated clowns on defense walk, keep Braylon and Holmes, and hire a new OC.
I'd like to keep him but if they think this is a ground and pound team there is no sense in it at all, whatsoever. They don't throw it enough to use Keller, Cotch, edwards, etc.
He may not have had a catch in the first half, but he did draw 2 PI calls to help move the chains! I really hope that once the CBA is finalized that we have enough cap money to keep this team together for another run.
Santonio is a home run hitter. However, I think the Jets would get more value out of Braylon, if it came down to one or the other. Braylon will likely cost less than Santonio in the FA market, plus he seems to have some chemistry with Nacho. In addition, if we are a "ground and pound" team, Braylon is more valuable as a blocker than Holmes. So, I say try to sign them both, but if it comes down to one or the other - sign Braylon, use whatever cash you save to get ourselves a big time pass rusher, a killer safety, etc.
