The Jets were the better team today. But they couldn't overcome laughably biased officiating and unbelievably horrendous playcalling. I was wrong about Sanchez. Today, he proved something to me--that he's a damn good NFL QB. The defense stepped it up. Shonn Greene was a beast. The core of this team can win a Super Bowl. I don't know what Rex said in the locker room at the half, but that was a different team after the break. It's a shame we had such a fucking terrible start, but the team responded. I'm thrilled with the direction of this team, but we can only hope that after Schottenheimer gets kicked to the fucking curb, and a real OC comes in, that this offense will be as good as the D. Then, nothing's holding us back.
I like the Sanchez fumble. That was so obviously not a fucking fumble. Whatever fucking bullshit officiating makes me not even want to watch anymore.
The defense played well enough. The refs let the Steelers hold non-stop, called a bunch of bullshit penaltiee, and in general were awful and gave the Steelers that defensive TD. And Schotty is just dreadful..
Our defense lost this game in the first half not our refs. That said if it wasnt for shottys retarded play call before the half, that last TD we scored would of tied the game up.
The defense only gave up 17 points. they had a great second half. just couldn't stop them on that last drive. there should've been more time on the clock anyways - took up too much time on the drive that we got 0 points on. 7 of the steelers 24 was on the offense
Say the non-fumble isn't called a fumble. Which it wasn't, of course. Then that terrible D allows 17 points to a damn good Steelers offense. Doesn't matter when those points are scored.
To say they choked is unfair They completely shut down the Steelers in the 2nd half the last first down was a broken play and Poole just missed deflecting the ball
It's expected. I'm surprised the Jets weren't screwed worse against the Pats. Today was the price for eliminating Roger Kraft-Goodell's team.
The refs were unfuking believable today... a call here or there changes everything. Way too many missed fukin calls...along w/ Shotty's ineptitude...the guy has zero absolutely ZERO sense of the game.
How about where credit is due? Mendenhall had the best RB performances we've seen against the Jets in 3 seasons. Mendenhall alone changed the dynamic of the game.
I hope Rex goes after the refs in his post game conference. I literally have never seen such blatantly biased bullshit...
Schotty didn't give up over 100 yards rushing in the first half. The fact that you can't come back 24 points on the number one defense in the league doesn't mean you suck. It means you don't walk on water.
The "fumble." The "late hit" on Eric Smith. The non-late hit on Cotchery. The non-late hit on the sliding Mark Sanchez. The non-helmet to helmet on Farrior. The rampant holding all day from Pittsburgh. You know, just off the top of my head.
Bullshit...on the fukin Mendenhall shit. You guys weren't watching the game cause if you were you would have seen their O-Line absolutely tackling our guys...grabbed our pads, and literally tackled out guys to the ground... There is no doubt in my mind they got away with murder on the O-line...they did last game and did again.
