I hate Rex! Damn him for giving us 2 straight AFC title games in his first 2 seasons! Damn him for beating the Pats in NE in the playoffs!! Fire him!!!!!!11!
"A man has a body, a mind and a spirit. There are times in a man's life when his body will tell him it can't continue on. There are times in a man's life when his mind will tell him that the task set for him is too hard to accomplish. Those two don't matter. It's a man's will and his spirit, and in those moments and in those times that will tell him 'You can do it,' and it will make the mind and body follow along." -- Dennis Byrd
Diehardstlrfan, you are an ignorant douchebag if you think rex will get fired if the jets lose today. the guy has been a head coach for 2 seasons and has made it to the AFC Championship game in both years.... woody johnson is a classy guy for your information, you can't blame him for embracing a culture that has finally lifted the jets out of the giants shadow, and given them their own established identity in a crowded new york sports market. the jets could get blown out today (not gonna happen) and then go 4-12 next year (not gonna happen), and rex would still not get fired. have fun watching your boys get shit on today and praying that either the bears or packers beat us next week.
I have a total of $90 wagered on Cotchery today across two bets for him to be the leading receiver in both games today (yardage-wise). He's was the biggest longshot on the board (tied with Heath Miller) at 18/1. Payout is $1,620 if he actually does it.
I am asking as a Pats fan... I give the Jets all the credit in the world for making the big plays last week, but from experience a SB loss is far more enduring. I am still not over the Super Bowl 42 loss yet, can't really talk about it either. But last week seems like it was a year ago and am over it and ready for next year. Was just curious.
Only if you were a Pats fan could you truly answer that question. And I promise you I would much rather have the last two years if it included that SB 42 as a win. Trust me, no loss is worse than a SB loss---especially a late game one. The last two years are frustrating but you get over them in a few days. The Giants loss is one you never get over until you win the next one. Kinda like Red Sox and Aaron Boone/Buckner.
 So you came here to ask a question just so you could give us the response? Good stuff, troll. But in the end I WILL trust you, because you're right: No single loss in the Super Bowl could ever be more simultaneously heartbraking, embarrassing, and demoralizing than the Patriots loss in SB 42.
Not trolling. Figured this board was better than espn Jets board. It was a legitimate question. Obviously you guys want to win it all, but I am saying if you ---god forbid, in your eyes--- lose, would you rather it happen today or in two weeks? I gave the Jets every ounce of credit. Last week is over with, I was just curious is all. Carry on.
my wife made chilli. awesome. on another note. I'm not ready for the season to be over. I envy packers fans. up 14, know they are going to the SB. they can start the celebration early and have a nice little sunday.
The Mike Francesa formula. Ask the question, then tell others they're wrong give them the answer. Get lawst.
He didn't answer. He was the one who trolled by bringing up the last two years. That had zero to do with it. Can you really not interact with a different fan base? Man, Jets fans at the game last week weren't bad---but online, watch out...
