Just a few notes from my observations this past week of recent Steelers games Do not turn the ball over. The Ravens lost all momentum immediately following Ray Rice's fumble The Steelers run a lot of plays out of the singlebaclk formation The Steelers also use 2 TE's often and throw out of that formation quite a bit The Steelers run the ball up the middle and to the right a majority of the time. They rarely run to the left. They throw a lot of screen pases Expect a "trick play". Kind of a Steeler staple, but expect to see an end around or Antwaan Randle El to throw a pass. The snaps back to the holder on PAT and FG tries have not been accurate.
I forgot one other thing. Their special teams seem to always give up a big play. see Brad Smith's opening kickoff return in wk 15
Is it strange that I want Cromartie back there returning still? Why mess with a good thing in the playoffs?
Special teams could be so huge this game. vs the Pats our avg field position was like our own 45 vs them starting at their 20. And with the way the 2 defenses are playing im expecting weatherford to make or break us
Good, accurate summary. Special teams can be huge. If you guys get a big play on special teams...that will likely be the difference. Also, I think the Steelers run D will be critical because if we can force Sanchez into 3rd and long on most drives then advantage Pittsburgh. I can't wait!!!!
1) Their special teams can be a disaster 2) Their tackles should have a tough time in one on one matchups. 3) They usually play cover 3 with the cornerbacks off the LOS giving up a lot of short passes. Those 3 areas are weaknesses plus no turnovers and the Jets should win.
I feel the same way. Cromartie is a freak. Every stride is about 5 yards. Let's leave Smith for the wildcat and let Cromartie return kicks.
No way we can risk Cro out there if we dont have too. How can people forget about what happened last AFCG when we started losing DBs to injury.
