First of all i just want to say congratulations on getting to your second AFC Championship game. I came to this thread to discuss something else though, the perception that the Giants and Jets have some sort of rivalry....which is being fueled by the media to create some sort of soap opera in NY football. For instance i saw Firemen Ed firing up the troops and he dropped a diss at the giants saying it is the Jets town...it is nobody's town until they win the Superbowl and even only then do the bragging rights last for a year. Now imagine if he turned it around and tried to get the Giants fans on board by saying something like 'we're doing it for all of the Tri State, and our family we share the stadium with'..... Rather than acting like a clown and driving a wedge between Giants and Jets fans. I will be rooting for the Jets to win in the Superbowl you guys deserve it after 42 years...so what i am trying to say is the only time there should be a rivalry is when we play you next year...i hope that this idiotic issue of whose town is it ends between Giants and Jets fans. Thank you oh and:eaglessuck:
I don't think F Ed speaks for all Jets fans but you have to admit for the last few decades we have been treated like the ugly stepsister at the old Giants Stadium, mostly opening the seasons on the road...congrats on having a Miracle at the New Meadowlands this year:beer:
I appreciate it considering all the hate I have been getting from Giants fans in my area. Most cite that our team is classless from all the talk.. I reminded him that the greatest player in history is a rapist... It didn't go over well.
When you have Giants players Tuck? and Francessa saying that they will still call the New Meadowlands Giants Stadium they are also fueling the bitterness...just saying
I guess its different in south jersey beacuse most giants fans i know just say they are a fan of new york. We joke with each other but in the end my hatred lies in boston and philly.
Maybe if you posted this at a different time I'd listen to you, but the week before the AFCC game after another miserable Giants season makes me question your motivation
Was at a bar for the Patriots game (in New York). One person was rooting for the Pats. What kind of a fan was he? A Giants fan. Annoying little **** was able to cheer twice all night. After being heckled by a good 30 people he sad down and didnt say ****.
