Anyone mention the weather yet? Under 10 degrees. Windchill under 0. How will this effect things?

Right now the game day forecast is 18 degrees with not much of a wind chill.

Mark has already proven he can play in the cold, this only means that the hits will hurt that much more.

Also effects the kicking game in a place that is already the worst at kicking Fgs.

When it does....The next possession isn't Flacco trying to muscle the ball into double coverage 30 yards down the outside of the field.

Great news for the Jets... Defensive end Smith has been rulled out for the game. Huge break for the Jets; this man is one hell of a 3-4 defensive end. This would be like the Jets going without Ellis.

He hasn't been playing for weeks and was never really expected to play anyway.

The only thing now is they can fill his roster spot, which is actually worse for us.
Against the Ravens they had him fill it but never played and they desperately needed oline help.

Players nipples will be rock hard, and there will be significant "shrinkage" of the genitals. Hopefully this doesn't affect our players performance.

correct me if I am wrong, but unless they IR him, he still has the roster spot. As I understand it, even though he is a no-go this weekend, he is almost assured to play a little in the super bowl if they manage to beat us.

so unless they IR'ed him, they don't have an open roster spot to fill.

The likelihood that some Pitt fans will show up drunk, take off their shirts and get exposure has gone up quite a bit, though.

Everyone is still discounting the jets, all I hear about is their speedy receivers and how they will make plays, act like our secondary isn't one of the best in the league.

He has a spot on the 53 man roster, but not all 53 players get to dress for the game and be on the active list.

Aaron smith has been out forever. Ziggy hood has played well in his place anyways.

    not a big drop off.

the main thing is how healthy shampolamalu is

I don't know why anyone would be discounting the Jets. They had a great season and are playing for the AFC Championship. Anybody that makes it that far deserves it and should not be discounted. Anybody that has watched these two teams this year should know that either one can win. It will come down to a few big plays. The team that makes the most of them will win.

yes but the way he said it implied the steelers were going to add a o-lineman to their roster. as in, sign a player. They can only do that if a roster spot opens up, say if Aaron Smith is IR'ed. But since he isn't, there is no spot with which to add a player.
