    Something else, all this sixth seed crap is annoying. I understand the three games on the road thing, but it has been done before. And the Jets are very good on the road in general. Hell, why can't they beat Miami in the Meadowlands after beating them in Miami? But I digress.

    Here's the thing about this sixth seed nonsense - how many sixth seeds were 11-5 and had beaten both the two top seeds in the regular season? How many sixth seeds had better road records than home records?

    I don't know the answers to those questions, but suspect the answer is no team before the Jets this year.

    The analysis that analogizes this team to your usual sixth seed is just not meaningful for these reasons.

    Exactly what I was thinking. Trying to make the Jets overconfident so they lose to his Steelers? And since when did analysts make picks to try and sway teams?

    I think fans in general are quite excited now, and this can on occasion lead to a bit of craziness.

    Analysts make their picks for some mix of reasons, but the notion that any one of them, even a former HC for one team like Cowher, do so for the reasons suggested by some is crazy talk.

    Its a ploy to have the Steelers be motivated. He really is picking the Steelers.

    Why would you put any stock in what any of the analysts say? They are just filling up air time and trying to stir up a little controversy. These 2 teams are being so nice to each other it's driving the media crazy. I think it is funny watching the media try to scramble for stories. It's the polar opposite of last week. :)

    The Packers also dismantled the #1 seed in the NFC. We beat the Patriots soundly but the Packers made the Falcons look like a 4-12 team.
