Francesa has buried himself. He's dead to Jets management and probably off limits to the players because of his bias. He gets no interviews anymore and HAS to talk baseball. Lately I notice he's been a kinder and gentler voice when referring to the Jets though. I think he realizes he stepped on his schwantz a little too often with his tirades about Rex and Scott and others. Now he regrets it and will sorely miss the ratings if the Jets get to the Big Dance and he has no interviews with them. How can he interview Bart Scott, for example? Scott will call him out and make him eat shit in front of millions of listeners... not gonna happen. He screwed himself over the years.

I completely agree. He has definitely screwed himself from ever getting any interviews of significance with someone in organization. But, this is incredible because these interviews shown today are available to him with no issues. We all know - and I'm sure you will agree - that Mike would have definitely cut away from his programming to show and discuss the live press conference if it were Coughlin talking on a Wednesday before the NFC championship game. But no no, its all baseball tawk here fowlks...football?!? wudda ya kiddin me wid this? Get outta here wid dat nonsense.
