The fact of the matter is this: Just about every player around the league wants to play for Rex. The Jets are on the verge of becoming a hot spot for top of the line talent.

The media, as well as opposing fans hate us for that.

They hate the fact that the Jets are on the verge of becoming the NY Yankees of the NFL, where extremely gifted athletes come to the Jets with two things on their mind; A) Winning a championship with the Jets & B) Having fun alongside Rex.

We started to see the movement last year when Douglas, Leonhard & Scott all followed Rex from Baltimore to NY. We could of had Ray Lewis too. Then we seen two future HOF players join Rex to win a championship this year in L.T & Taylor. Now we hear about Giants such as Phillips & Rolle dreaming of a chance to play under Rex. Who knows if Revis, Ferguson & Mangold would have signed long term without Rex?

I would love to lock up Harris, Edwards, Holmes & Cromartie; but don't be shocked when you see Ed Reed rocking green & white as a JET next year.

I hate to tell you this. The Yankees of the NFL are the Steelers dude. Think about it: Derek Jeter = Big Ben, Hines Ward = Jorge Posada, Troy Polamalu = Mariano Rivera, James Harrison = Scotty B, etc, etc. You see what I mean? No one massive signs with us we draft through the system!

The Packers are the Yankees of the NFL, they have the most championships and best history.

The Packers? Ummm no sorry but those championships don't count these days. Sorry but the Steelers have dominance over everyone. Check our records.

Everyone wants to be the fukin YANKEES....
Then everyone crys that they fukin win.

Other than the CANADIENS in the NHL, There is no other YANKEES.

Not the GIANTS STEELERS COWGIRLS No one...it's not even close.

and ftr, every team in the NFL "Builds" their roster through the draft and adds a few pieces in FA.
    2 totally different beasts.

Everything you said just proves the Steelers are not the Yankees, especially your last sentence. Are you on crack? Please explain what any of these players have to do with one another?

PS. Where do you get your crack?

They are super clutch players, and have WON multiple rings the same way the Yankees have won their rings. ASK ANYONE from Upstate NY who their two favorite teams are. Sure isn't the Jets or Mets. Steelers and Yankees. Always has been that way for years. No one wants to be a Bills fan either. Or Vagiants lol.

Now you are just proving how stupid you are.

How far upstate are you? Gotta know how far below average your I.Q. actually is.

Why don't they count? Pitt was a HORRIBLE franchise from their inception throuhg the late 60s-early 70s. Pitt has been the best in the SB era but all time they aren't close to GB.

    GB has 12 championships
    Pitt has 6

    which is better?

Nice post but i i'm not sure if i really want Ed Reed. Don't get me wrong i love his game but he's on the tail end of his prime and i'd rather the jets get a young hard hitting fast safety to develop.

Please WE WILL match Green Bay Bay in 10 years with out championships. Every NFL team wants to be us. At least we have integrity unlike the Cowboys, 49whiners, and Giants LOL. We draft talent! They buy their talent. Besides Green Bay is like a poor mans version of us.

    He's comparing Superbowls not Championships.

The generations of people watching football nowadays don't extend back to the 1950's when there were two different leagues

What, and the Jets don't? I'll take the Jets drafting over any team in the league!

    Mark Sanchez
    Shonn Greene
    Jerricho Cotchery
    Dustin Keller
    D'Brickashaw Ferguson
    Matthew Slauson
    Nick Mangold
    Brandon Moore
    Shaun Ellis
    Sione Pouha
    David Harris
    Darrelle Revis

I look forward to adding players such as Kyle Wilson and Joe McKnight to that list within the near future.

Where the F in upstate New York are you? I went to school upstate and it was probably 65%/35% spread of Giants/Jets fans. Similar spread for Yankees/Mets. I didn't meet one local who was a Steelers fan in my 4 years there.

Also the Yankee comparison in this thread is clearly the comparison in players' desire to play for the franchise, not the # of rings (yet). I don't get how that's so hard to understand.
