Today should be interesting. The Tom C./Rex thing has gotten quite a bit of play in the media.

You guys, like me, probably realize how sweet this week is if you hate Fatty as much as I do:

All the predictions - LT's signing is a mistake, Rex is a clown not a good coach, Holmes will be a cancer in the locker room, etc. have turned out to be false.

Fatty narrative - the Jets are classless - Giants and Pats are the classy franchises - has totally fallen apart after Branch, Welker, Tom C's meltdown rant against Dodge. Likewise, the argument that Tom's Parcellsesque system is the only way to win in NY, - has totally collapsed under Fatty's own weight. Even some of the Giant players are saying they'd rather play for Rex!

Fatty's gamble - that the Jets will collapse, not make the playoffs while the Giants will, allowing him to trash Tannenbaum, Woody, and Rex - has now completely bitten him in the ass.

The Jets are by far the biggest story in NY sports and maybe even nationally, and the flagship show on WFAN has NO JETS - nothing - no one will come on his show.

The great thing - I really believe that Fatty's article in Newsday was (as others pointed out in this thread) Fatty's effort to spin the story in his favor and perhaps to generate some sort of fence mending from the Jets. But the fat fuck couldn't control himself, and called Tanny a "buffoon" in the article.

Anyone think upper management at WFAN is saying "good work" to Fatty after this uttah disastuh of a anti-Jets strategy by Fatcessa?

He is right about one thing he said in the Newsday article- the Jets, and 95% of the team's fanbase - is anti-Fatcesa.

the Jets and 95% of the team's fanbase is anti-Fatcessa, the other 5% are the weak ass "paid off" callers.

roofiesberger is not a young quartahback because he's won two supah bowls?

no, you dumbass, he's not a young quahtaback because he's 28 and he's played seven season in the NFL.

    Geez.

Yep, who do you expect him to have on? He hasn't done many interviews lately (none yesterday), so he has to have someone on aside from Giants, so he's throwing a changeup and interviewing a Met.

Mike D'Antoni wouldn't be bad since they're currently playing, and playing well at this point in the season.

Big Ben is young in the sense of his age (28 isn't old in the NFL at all) but not young in the sense that he's gonna get any better. He's in his prime.

To me, not everyone is either young or old.

Young is early 20s (not beyond 25). Old is like 35 and up (in terms of sports).

Someone who's 28 and played seven seasons ain't young.

It reminds me of how players are classified as either rookies or veterans, so I've heard some people refer to second and third year guys as 'veterans'.

Also, courtesy of Lori at TMF, here's one of the classic moments, from yesterday:

haha spent 5 minutes breaking down the Ravens punt return that was called back due to holding, before finally concluding that it was in fact a hold. Absolutely riveting analysis!

"Let me see it again.. ehh.. I dont know.. not a block to the back, bad call... bad call... oh they called holdin? Let's see it again.. Hmm... ehhhh... his hands ah outside there Victah.. his hands ah outside... good call... holdin... that's a hold.. right dere... holdin.. back aftah dis"

I'm done with Francesser. I know it won't make a dent, but I will no longer contribute to his ratings. He sometimes tries to keep his irrational Jets hate in check, but something about this team is like an itch he can't scratch and by midweek he's spewing forth the hate. The callers are either too dense to call him on his bullshit or, in rare cases, too intelligent and thus get shouted over, hand-waved, and guhbyed. I'm done.

    Yisman/Cakes, do you get Sirius?

Russo is bringing out his "Marquee" gimmick next week or the week after giving away SB tickets with trivia questions.
