There's really no such thing as a jinx, but if thinking there is one gets you through the day, then so be it. I think Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan are 1-2 in some order as to the most appearances on SI covers. It's doubtful they choked the following week. I'm also certain the Yankees have been on many covers during seasons in which they would go on to win the World Series.
I once bought a SI with a dead fly smuched into the cover. Less than a week later I swatted a fly that landed on my pizza. Coincidence? I think not.
You think Brady makes that face when Gis gets the strap on? I don't, I think his has a blissful appearance when that happens...............
were fucked i didnt believe in the si curse till the mets showed up there then imploded and then favre was there and he decided to bang massage therapists instead of winning down the stretch
SI Jinx will come into play...it never fails. AP, July 17, 2011: "Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen announce separation....."
Cool pic. Looks like Pace is a armpit sniffer. Peter King goes on in the article about why we will lose. Just like he did last week. And the week before. Works for me.
Bingo!! I have shaken the SOJ syndrome. We have to eliminate that old fashioned mentality. BTW, for those who missed JETS Extra Point on SNY, Brian Custer had ann interesting statistic. Since 1994, 4 teams who have returned to the Championship game from the year before has ADVANCED to play in the Super Bowl!! I have waited for this since 1972. The wait is over!! The SOJ are GONE!!!
Nope, the Core 4 of the Yankees were on the cover last year and three of them had injures...Posada,, Pettite had that groin injury and Mo It couldn't have been the Packers
The Saints were on the cover of SI before last year's Super Bowl. Although the Vikings were on the week before...
You did not read what I actually wrote. Here it is again- I'm also certain the Yankees have been on many covers during seasons in which they would go on to win the World Series. I betcha the Yankees made pre-World Series appearances on SI covers in 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009.
