Crushing. This loss was CRUSHING for them. They were so certain of their superiority, so certain that 45-3 was not an aberration, that they were legitimately 30 points better than everyone else, especially the awful Jets, that this just turned their world upside down. My wife went to work, wearing work green and white...no Jets logos, just green and white. All the football talk last week was gone. The sport no longer exists. Right now, it's four weeks to pitchers and catchers.

That's hilarious! If it doesn't snow, I'm teaching tomorrow at UMass Amherst, the "Southwest" section. They riot when the Pats win and when they don't. Can't really teach wearing Jets stuff, but I'll have green and white, and likely a hat for right after class ends.
One of our favorite restaurants up here, a small place out here in the middle of nowhere north-central MA, had their entire wait staff in Pats stuff Saturday night. If I hadn't been drinking at home, I was going to take a trip there Sunday night in my Jets stuff.
Wearing a Jets Jacket and Hat caused some people to give me a death stare today in VT. I had a teacher who was a big Broncos fan last semester. After the game in class he is asking everyone how their weekends were and I just have this huge grin across my face. So he just looks at me and tell me to shut up and that I can't say anything, before I even have a chance to get a word out.
