over the past few years, every now and again ill check out those bar scene reactions - the chicago reaction to the hester superbowl return, the NO bar reaction to porter in.you get the idea. IM envious I need to live out this fantasy if we should be so lucky. I wanna go to a bar where the scene will be a madhouse. people going bat shit crazy if we win. clogged with jets faithful any suggestions? -- Im asking about manhattan
Dont know about Manhattan but there is a bar in Woodbridge NJ.BigShots sports bar,its all Jets on game day with a DJ who is a huge Jet fan.Place is beyond a madhouse when they win!
Village Pourhouse on 46 Street (Restaurant Row) between 8th and 9th. Great beer selection. Also, Tonic in the 20's and 3rd Ave is a great time, but more of a party atmosphere than sitting and watching the game.
I havenever watched a game there, but I know Off the Wagon on 76 & 2nd is a pretty big Jets bar. I was actually thinking of checking it out this weekend, but I am afraid it might be too crowded to actually watch the game.
Go over to Queens and watch it with the real, life-long Jets fans instead of all those pretenders who just like a winner in Manhattan.
Im a south shore guy..heres a good list. Mulcaheys in wantagh is a huge scene, right next to LIRR. Croxleys in Farmingdale Kodiaks in Farmngdale Bulldog in Amityville Post Office cafe in Babylon McCanns in Massapequa
Ive never watched a game in a sports bar, do you gotta get their early cuz it gets packed? im stilly a youngling 18 years young. I usually lock myself in my room when I watch the Jets altho the Patriots game I was forced to go to a party because some jackass blew up the power station and power went out every where litteraly 30 minutes before the game. It pissed me off to no end.
I'm a little bit too tightly wound up to watch these games in a party atmosphere and i quit drinking and i live in mass. so i pretty much white knuckle my way through screaming and yelling like a lunatic in my living room. i would like to go to one of those places w/lots of old school jets fans in queens though - thats sounds very cool.
This won't help any, but I went to a Chili's a few years back for the Giants-Packers NFCCG with my friends (because none of us were of age) and it was pretty packed, and everyone was high-fiving after the Tynes FG in OT. It really doesn't matter where you go, I guess, as long as it's busy enough.
I'm actually in NYC for my first time and staying at 7th and 52nd any good bars around that location to catch the asswhooping we're going to lay on the Steelers?
Lmao i might be kinda fucked on this one. I am teaching english in China for a year and usually wake up at 4am to watch the games on my computer. However i'm on vacation now and will be traveling through vietnam all next week. I'm hoping i can find a sports bar somewhere in Saigon that will have the game on at like 6 AM local time or w/e it will be. But i might be royally screwed.
