Good point.....I can't complain since the penalties were pretty much even, the refs let them play. BTW, on the fake punt, #32 on the Pats held and grabbed the jersey of #33 on the Jets to prevent him from getting to the ballcarrier. Clear as day.....nobody mentions it because the Jets had enough guys to stop him anyway short of the 1st down mark.
Well he's going back to Pittsburgh, the reason I posted this topic. He punted great then. Hopefully he can get it going again.
Weatherford's adrenaline caused him to put too much on the ball. Fortunately his touchbacks weren't pivotal in the game.
Yes he did. He was an abject disaster. How many times did he punt from around their 40 and net 20 yards? 3...4? if we lost that game, he would have been one of the main reasons. Everyone else pretty much did their job.
Sorry. He was awful yesterday. His play was a big reason we beat the Steelers week 15. He pinned them back on almost every punt. Special teams pretty much won that game.
Weatherford had a pretty crappy day but I have confidence in the shake-weight guru. The guy was MONEY all season, it's not like his talent will disappear.
All of his TB punts went about 5 yards deep into the EZ. So he was off by 5-10 yards. Im sure we can cut him some slack for the excellent Pro Bowl caliber season he had. He'll bounce back. He looked like a champ in regular season.
I can't start a new thread, so thought this was the most appropriate place to put this. Why can't we ever have a good kicker? Every time Folk gets up to kick a FG or even PAT, I'm nervous he's going to miss it. So far, since I've been a fan we've had Brien, Nugent, and Folk. When's our time going to come?
Definitely the best thing. His punting was awful, but that was a big saving tackle. And he stuck his head right in there.
