The kick was clearly not good. It was higher than the upright and would have hit it (upright) on the outside had it been lower. This guy is terrible. He's going to clown it up in Pittsburgh. Get someone in here that doesn't suck donkey dick.
Nick Folk. Does anyone think we makes move at kicker after this season? I know he had a stretch where he was solid on fgs but then there's also times he misses some easy kicks. What do you think?
I dont trust folk for anything. However he is our kicker so I hope and pray he does well this Sunday.
I didn't realize the kick was from -- GULP !!! only 30 yards....has anybody heard anything from Folk on how he could miss from that distance ? The kick looked TERRIBLE -- wobbly from the start -- not like it was blocked or kicked straight and just mishit. We better score TD's Sunday.
I haven't heard it brought up a lot. but honestly, Rex might as well just go for it everytime if we are in enemy territory and it's 4th and 5 or less. Cause I have no faith in foulk right now. first thing comes offseason he's gotta go. But i hope he gets his own superbowl ring as a parting gift.
For which team? Wouldn't want a SB birth to be riding on this guy kicking a FG. Bad enough that Heinz field is bitch to kick in anyway.
Look, I am not counting on this guy to hit mid-40's FG's even though those should be easily makeable and good 70-80% of the time, if not more. But if he is asked to kick 27-35 yard FG's....you can't ask the offense to go for 7 and pass on a gimme 3. He has to make those. Ironically, the best thing might be if he can kick a long 40's or 50-yarder early in the game by blasting it and that would help him making the shorter kicks where he doesn't need as much leg.
He made the one that mattered against the Colts. In his career he is 4-4 with a long of 44 in Pittsburgh. I'm not ready to shit myself over his performance for this post-season yet. Pittsburgh delenda est.
The idea of Folk kicking in a big spot this Sunday is genuinely terrfying. Like keeping me up at night type of scary. If he trotted out with the game on the line from 40 yards...at Heinz Field...youd be crazy not to be mentally bracing yourself for a miss. He's pretty much the definition of shaky. Put it this way... I think SOJ is dead...but if there is going to be a moment that pulls it back to life and lets the dark siders can say "SOJ Lives!".... Nick Folk is probably going to involved. Cmon. we all know it.
I kept telling my Dad when Folk was going to kick the game winner against the Colts. I was like, watch this, he's going to miss it. He was like no way, it's only 30 yards.
He's 6 of 7 over the last six games. I think the kick against New England may have been called good if Ryan challenged. It doesn't matter though. ...and like Cato said: he made the one that mattered.
Oh shit. Panic! Do any of you think you are going out on a limb when you say that Folk could miss a big kick in this game? Unless the name is Vinateri they all miss big kicks.
I would only feel good if the FG was from like 25 yards, PAT-distance or the like. Anything over 30 scares me.
