If Belishit knew Brady would be such a player, u think he would have risked waiting to draft him till almost the 7th round? Belichick got lucky with that pick. Extremely lucky in the sense that it was the most important position in the NFL. Without Brady, Belishit becomes an average to above average coach. Matt cassle went 11-5 immediately after the team that went like 25-0 in regular season games or something. Without Brady, Patriots are a 10 win team at most. Belichick sucked at drafting for so many years until the last two years. We'll see if the success continues.

You guys can have Mr. Mumble. I promise you, nobody misses him here. Enjoy the ban.

Never mind that since Brady won his third title in ’04 and started his career 9-0 in the postseason, he’s been – to paraphrase PK – a quasi-Manningesque 5-4.

05 – Lost to Jake Plummer and the Broncos (cue Pats fans whining for 30 minutes about Champ Bailey’s fumble going through the end zone).

’06 – Lost to the Colts, who could supposedly never beat them, after overseeing the largest blown lead in conference championship history.

’07 – Depending on your view, either committed one of the biggest chokes in Super Bowl history or just got plain dominated by the Giants’ front four (cue Patriots fans ongoing whining about uncalled holding penalties on The Giant Snatch, the ball hitting the ground and issues with the game clock. Also blaming it all on Randy Moss.)

’08 – Bernard Pollard secures himself a place in Canton. 11-5 Pats miss playoffs in favor of 8-8 Chargers. Why would you ever want to change the playoff format after that?

’09 – Patriots get absolutely destroyed by the Ravens in Foxborough (Foxboro? Fox burrow?). At one point, Tom Brady has the chance to easily run in a four-yard touchdown, but opts to throw the ball away instead. Dreamboat downgraded from pussy to stoma fuckhole. Despite the home playoff loss, the team has the gall to celebrate its record regular-season home winning streak record the following year. Didn’t you assholes mock Fat Humps for doing the same shit when the Colts establishing the longest regular season winning streak in NFL history in ’09 after losing in the playoffs the season before? Yeah, you did.

Giants defensive front was amazing but Pats were winning. Randy made the catch for the touchdown but he didn't seem very involved. Gaffney dropped around 4 or 5 balls that made it seem like he was on the take. Nervous or otherwise I knew he would be gone.

Asante Samuel bother me for he dropped a gimme reception and started laughing about it with the same lack of concentration at the end of the game.'

I'm not concerned the Pats lost as much as the NFL knew the wrong call was made and the miracle catch is made. Sure the Giants played tough but the Pats did other things and they were winning. You don't give the game to the Giants because they had some rush success.

Then, now i fully believe Bill B's prevent defense is the WORST in the league and cost us with the Colts and everywhere else since Bill has been here. Sure Parcells did it but must have had some input to make it zillion times better than Bills. One thing about P Manning is his team never goes to the prevent defense. To me you play to win. Against the Jets on MNF in December the Pats played the game as it should be. Play to win all 60 minutes period.

Going back for a second on Moss in 07. I think the hits were coming at him and he became very ineffective but a few short catches and his touchdown.
I don't think Randy raised his level of play. But we lost while ahead and a
known bad call by the refs.

09 Ravens- Pats were flat prior to the game with welker out and Randy just doesn't raise his play so he had little for an attack. I'm not sure if Brady could have run in for the 4 yarder but I certainly remember the play and asked the question why he didn't run it in myself. Brady stands in the pocket and gets slammed many times so he takes a hit but I do remember the 4 yd potential touchdown

Ah Well 05 Pats were robbed on a 38 yd interference call that never was against Asante Samuel and we lost to Denver.

06 half the team had the flu. Manning comes back with Bill playing the fool with his prevent defense. Bill is human and totally su---as a coach at times and at times not good at change up since he lost Charlie and Romeo to wake him up but his prevent defense cost him and almost did against Eagles and Jake.Getting back to Indy Manning has 3 delay of games not called that 2 lead to touchdowns. They weren't even close, he went way over the time. Thomas is on the Indy 7 and down for several seconds but they never call him down. Cost us 3 or 7 that would have won the game.

    07 not a bad year

08 Brady is out game one

09 Brady is back but he was never healthy and just an average QB the entire year. I wonder about that 4 yd run if it was his knee for I thought at least if healthy he would have had the chance

10 Pats win the Super Bowl in perhaps Brady's best year. Defense is Wilfork, Mayo and a rookie CB but still have the effort from nobodys and playcalling to hold together

Good observation. My guess is there's little chance the Jets will go to only zone coverage, meaning Revis on Welker and everyone else in zone, but there will be a lot of it, more than Jet fans are used to seeing on average.

Having said that, Cro needs to jam whoever's in front of him on the line.

You have no history, and your recent SB wins will always be tainted outside of Pats fans world.

Again you should thank us because we made the AFL legitimate.

what can the JETS do again to stop NE offense? Maybe im over analyzing everything because of this long week but I dont think putting pressure will matter since Brady gets rid of the ball in 3 seconds or less. If I remember correctly in the MNF game, the receivers would bump the defenders off, take off and then 2 seconds later, the ball is in their hands.

Definitely has to be a mix of coverage and blitzes. In that Monday night game Brady threw 3 Tds when we only rushed 3. That's where the loss of Leonhard hurt us the most, communicating what the coverages should be.

Now Smith and Pool are both up for the task so I'm very confident that the coverage will be much improved.

It definitely hurt as welker out last year for Ravens. That's not what killed you against the pats but it sure didn't help. Calling a crazy time out, going for it and missing, Login Mankins had his way all game, interceptions. Fixing the gimmies itself will make the game tons closer just from game planning. Smith looks ready to do his part. I though Jets did well and hustled 2nd half against Indy. Indy isn't the same team but that sure was one noisy stadium and Jets did fine.

    2 days away!

We'll see what happens 1st. The Patriots win a 4th Superbowl or the Jets finally win another one.

    Yes, yes we will.

Either way we're on our way up, Sanchez already us 3 road playoff wins under his belt and his 2nd year isn't even done yet. I see him adding 3 more before his sophomore year is over.

I've been pointing this out for months now.

It's not just Brady, it's what teams have done against the Jets in general....
