Based on all the love he gets from media since he became a broadcaster, I thought Cowher was very popular in Pittsburgh & Steeler fans were sad to see him go. Was there a general sense of relief when the Steelers parted ways with Cowher or was there regret since his replacement didn't have much a a resume when it comes to being a HC?

 

I agree, enough of the bullshit, focus on the game.

 

When I lived in Boston, it was pure pleasure to listen to these crybabies on WEEI make excuses when the Parcells's coached Jets used to go up there and kick their asses in Foxboro. They are literally the biggest homers you can imagine. Think of the biggest Jets homer around on WFAN - say Carton - and multiply it by 10. That's what they are like.

One good thing is that if the Jets can win this game fat Freddy Smerlas will be blubbering on Monday.

Maguire & Theisman were Dan Dierdoff bad. I'm always amazed when these type of crappy broadcasters hang around for multiple seasons. Don't these network have some type of quality control system in place that points how much these guys obviously suck.

 

Jim Rome seems to like Rex Ryan more often than not IIRC. He's been a Jet proponent when I've watched recently, which is admittedly not more than a few times this season.

 

Yeah, they end up on Basic Cable for 10% of what they made on the broadcast networks.

On a positive note, Phil Simms seems to give the Jets a fair shake, and he'll probably be working the game Sunday(?).
