Back to actual game talk about THIS game.... Is Spikes supposed to be back after his suspension for drug violations?
Everyone making way to much out of pre game press.. The Pats are a good team, and consistent. The Jets are a good team, but not as consistent. A lot of that comes with a second yr QB. To win this game, the Jets need to start strong in the first quarter. If they can keep the game close entering second half, they can stick to their offensive game plan and balance. The Patriots D is vulnerable, and our best D is keeping Brady on the sideline. You can only milk clock and run the football when you are not playing from 2 scores behind. The Pats goal of course will be to gain a quick lead, and force the Jets to play from behind. Then their D can focus on the pass only, and rattling Sanchez. That is their equation to winning. Their O masks a lot of deficiencies in their D. It will come down to execution. The press means nothing.
Maybe he was rooting for the Jets since they beat them by 42 at home and they only beat the Ravens by 3 at home?
Jim, Spikes came back last week but was noted he was not in game shape and from what I read needed to step it up over this past weekend on his own . Spikes is generally used 1st and second downs only
just warms my heart that the snow is hitting up there hard today and from what I heard the Pats players cant make it in today
According to Reiss, they are at practice. Any players who thought they might have a hard time getting there stayed at local hotels. BB accepts no excuses for showing up to practice on time.
Here's something I saw on twitter. Last 4 Playoff games Nacho - 3-1 Brady - 1-3 I'll be right back, I'm searching for any other information that will have zero impact on this game but will give me some glimmer of hope.
The Jets ran for 152 yards last time against the Patriots Coming into that game our run game wasn't looking pretty good. Despite that we ran pretty well against the Patriots. Greene averaged 4.9 yards and L.T. averaged 4.7 yards. Even McKnight ran for 19 yards on 3 carries against the Patriots starters. Last time our run game was not looking to well at all. L.T. lost his fire and Greene just didnt seem to hit his stride yet. Despite all this, we still ran pretty well against the Patriots. This time though our run game is coming into this with a lot of fire and confidence I feel. We should be able to run a lot better than last time. Can the Patriots stop the run? Can Sanchez burn them on the play action?
we'll run the ball. I'd also like to sprinkle in some McKnight and if Brad Smith is feeling up to it, let him try throwing the ball for once. We need to pull out all the stops to beat the "best team in football".
Bill Belichick did fire up the Patriots defense yet Mcknight had no problem running on them, we'll see sunday if the Patriots can stop the run i guess.
Probably because they were winning by 75 points in the fourth quarter and didn't give a fuck if we wanted to run?
